I need Fire Emblem cheap...
So do I, and I've been looking for about 3 months now... so good luck :)
Ha, when I saw the topic on the front page, I thought it was you dredging that search up again. Just buy the damn thing you two. It's well worth your $25.

Yea, but this site has killed me.. I hate paying full price for any game these days.. especially if I'm not getting it at or near release.

Store policy (at least locally) for EB, Gamecrazy, and Gamestop to throw away packaging and manuals for used GBA games. So that would take some pretty impressive luck.

Uh...no game is well worth $25 anymore :D $20 I could do. However, I probably couldn't even get it for $25 - it's listed at $30 everywhere, and my BB doesn't ever have it in stock.

its probably old news to every one else, but i just saw a few days ago on ebgames.com that Fire Emblem was coming out on GC in summer 05....thats a pretty long wait....but are the stories similar?

I'm pretty sure the Fire Emblem for the GC is a whole different story. I wish they would bring the other Fire Emblems to the States.

If any game is worth $30 I personally think Fire Emblem is. I bought when it first came out and have beaten it a few times and still keep going back to play with new characters.

I live in Indy, and the EB closest to me had it complete last week. They also had boxes and manuals for a lot of other GBA games, but some didn't come with anything

I want FE, but I have enough other S-RPGs to be playing. By the time I'm done with La Pucelle and Disgaea, Shining Force PS2 will be out, which is the SRPG i've been waiting years for. I want to find FE for cheap, but I'm not too hopeful.

When I got FE it was on sale for $25 at Target. Its a good game, but can definately get really annoying at times because when people die they dont come back.

I doubt it, but on an semi-related note, did you know Fire Emblem started as several games for Super Famicom (the Japanese SNES)?

I too want the game, but am trying to save money for a trip to Japan in November. TRU and CC sales put a big dent in my cash flow, not to mention all the other good deals I've found on this site.

I will pay full price for Fire Emblem GBA at some point, though. Maybe after I beat Tactics Ogre, Gladius, La Pucelle, and Phantom Brave (it could happen!). Beating Shining Force GBA and Disgaea only took me a combined 150 hours or so!

I've often considered picking up Fire Emblem, as it looks very interesting, but having never seen it for less than $25 after GGC, I'm not sure. I've never been terribly fond of tactical games. How different is this?

If youve played advance wars, its like that but with alot of RPG. It gets really frustrating at times though so be prepared.

An Advance Wars-like game I can definitely do. Advance Wars is one of the only tactical games that has ever been fun to me. I bought Gladius awhile back, and just can't into it, partially because it's tactical and partially because I'm not too big on Roman history and mythology and the like.

Yea, if you liked Advance Wars I am pretty sure you will like FE also, that is if you like RPGs at all too. Actually I am playing Gladius right now and am about halfway through the game, I didnt really know what to expect with it, but it is turning out to be pretty fun. Definately worth the $15 I spent at TRU, I had always looked at the game and wanted to try it out.

You could do the raincheck/substitution thing at Target. My local Target is out of FFX-2, so I picked up a 44% raincheck. That'd make Fire Emblem about $17--very tempting.
