I need help getting S-video to work, HELP!!!!

So, i tried to get my computer to display on 2 monitors,
I had a regular hook up with the VGA cable (i'm guessing its VGA) to a monitor it comes with. Now i want to also display my computer on my TV using S-video (my CPU has S-video output) but as I hooked in the cable, the tv shows no connection.
Is it even possible to display your computer on 2 monitors at the same time (tv acts as a monitor)

What kind of graphics card do you have? There's an option for multiple display in the nvidia control panel. If not you should be able to right click on the desktop and go to display properties/settings

i tried this, going to settings tab on display properties and it shows:
(Multiple Monitors) on ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Series
and my monitor works fine but my TV S-video shows no connection (though i'm pretty sure the cable is connected and fine

If your s-Video connection shares the audio with composite jacks, you MUST unplug the composite connection. Also, I'm assuming you are switching the video inputs as well right?
