I need some bioshock help (no spoilers)

just got the game and i'm at neptunes gallery or something, at the gene bank, it keeps saying I have an availiable slot open to put another plasmid, but when I drag in a move from the right box into the 3rd slot, nothing happens

Did you purchase anyomore than the starting two slots? If you did, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to place a plasmid in there. Is this the Steam version?

Oooh, yeah, this is teh steam version, i baught a different slot, im dumb, i beat the game after realizing this in 7 hours, thanks for helping
