Check the Xbox code thread in the trading section. I saw this guy selling 12 month for $35 and a month for $5.

I think people were getting accounts/systems banned for those $1 month deals, I don't the whole details but I know it was about that. If your willing to be patient, eBay usually has a daily deal pretty often for $35ish.
