So I got I-Ninja for $10.99 at ebgames.com . I beat it so I made a review.

I-Ninja
for GCN, PS2, and Xbox
reviewed GCN version

Meet I-Ninja. The story is about a Ninja who discovers a rage stone and kills his master from the rage of the stone. Along with his dead masters ghost he goes to find the rest of the rage stones while fighting Odor’s forces. The gameplay is much like a regular platformer. You know, beat said level to get _____ that unlocks new levels and you can play the same level again to get more _____. The major problem with this game is that one minute your fighting bad guys and the next your playing a clone version of “Super Monkey Ball” (GCN). Since there are so many different things, mastering the main gameplay is not needed. However this means the game never gets dull. The game at its best is average compared to any other games it trys to mimic. The controls and graphics are fine, but the camera is annoying because it can not go through objects like walls. All in all it is a poor mans platformer.

5.5 out of 10

Here I-Ninja shows how babies are born.

Nice review, I like the pics, lets people know what the game looks like in case they never seen it before.

I bought I-Ninja for $10 back when TRU had it. I thought it was decent just really bland, in both design and gameplay.

I really enjoyed this game, but i was very dissapointed with the Don Blueth directed cut scenes...nothing special whatso ever.

FEEL MY STEEL!!!!

I love this game so far and for $10 you can't beat it (I have the GCN version as well). I'm only a yellow belt though so it's early... DOTY for me so far...

Sorry to bump an older topic.....
I am getting close to completing this game (I'm a black belt on the Moon Base level) and I just want to know if its really worth trying to collect all 64 grades.
I've completed everything in Robot Beach and Bomb Bay, but only repeated a few of the extra missions in the other areas.
Can anyone who has collected all the grades and unlocked the special mission that requires the master belt give me his/her opinion?
Thanks

I do not think so, but there is a code you can find that just gives them to you.

If you had to compare this to one other game, gameplay-wise (not the SMB part) what would it be? Thanks.

Ninja Gaiden but I have never played that game. I guess Crash Bandicoot game with beat-em-up fighting.

This game was great for the first two hours, ok for the next two, then I stopped playing around the final group of levels. I just started getting annoyed with the somewhat clunky camera when the game required accuracy-or-death jumps. Overall a 6.5/10

I agree with the camera control being subpar and there is very little replay value in the game too. But otherwise it's pretty fun and has a pretty good variety of missions.
I won the game with 55 grades but don't have the desire to go back and collect the rest of them to open the secret level.
It took me almost 2 nights to win that Eggshell Skull challenge and I consider that a greater accomplishment then beating the final boss.

8/10
Well, since I really dig Monkey Ball I'm glad I got this one cheap.
I got all 64 grades in this game, but don't remember really getting anything special. I got to go in the special area and fight some baddies, but that is about it (from what I can remember...)

The game is real fun on the basic missions and such. The real problem with it is that you MUST replay the same missions over and over to advance. That eventually gets boring. You wouldn't play this game again just due to the fact that once you beat it, you've played nearly every mission at least 3 times.

I would love to see a sequel where replaying missions is optional, and gets you prizes or something else. While the game was fun, I got sick of having to play the same levels again and again just to get to the next boss. It seemed needlessly repetitive.

I've heard this game sold poorly so I wouldn't get my hopes up for a sequel. There is a version of it coming out in November for the gba though.
I think I'm going to scratch this one from the list, but thanks for the input everyone.
You may want to reconsider since it looks like it can be had for 5 bucks at CC. There were flaws but I thought it was worth it when I got it for $12.
