Oh yeah, I did see the Criterion packaging. That shit is money as hell. They're not use those silly Blu cases, and they "open up" rather than being enclose in cases. I think I'm going to like them.
Buy The Darkness for the 360, munch. It's legit the most film-noir videeya game ever published.
I don't want to give anything away, but imagine the two most noir things that could be done within the video game world, and The Darkness did 'em both.
Edit: Make that three things. I don't want to spoil anything; we can talk about it after you buy it / beat it.
I bought it last week, and am going through it now.
Lemme guess to the noir things: non-linear narrative, lighting, and goblins that yell 'I Like Penguins'?
Ah, I see... being employed by a university = going there.
Nahh, they're harping on you for not leaving the 'womb' after 'birth'

Also to those looking at the HDTV stick(#83, etc):
Unless the stick says it does hardware encoding, beware.
It's gonna tax you're system if it's software encoding
If you care about achievements you might want to check a list before playing much of The Darkness manthing. There are several that can only be obtained at specific points in the play. If you miss the opportunity you have to play the game again to pick them up.
What character / background person is he?
He plays a character named James Curran, but I don't remember the scene hes in
Thats what I was thinking. And Over the Air HD...Is that local HD channels or channels like ESPN, TNT, etc.?
It would just be broadcast stuff. Networks, maybe PBS.
You can get those same channels in HD with standard bunny ears - you just need to be close enough to the tower to pick them up. I don't think the antenna with that thing would be any better than a cheap antenna. But you could connect a better antenna to the stick.
If your HD set has a built in digital tuner you don't need a converter box either.

HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, etc.

I was thinking the same thing...That antenna doesn't even look like it can pick up an FM station, let alone a HD channel.
I know I am opening up a can of worms to the OTT with my ignorance of OTA HD...
But Seriously? Free over the air?
Yeah, free. My mind was blown, too. It also picked up some other crap which looks like someone controlling the video on demand and the dude just orders a bunch of porno and fast forwards to the money shots. |
So I bought a 360 a couple months ago, and it's gathered dust worse than my Wii. I'm selling it some way or another -- have it on eBay and have sent emails out to folks I know. I'm broke, so that's another motivator.
My question is about the warranty. It's a little over 2 months old. I never signed it up for the warranty at xBox.com. If someone buys it, are they going to have any warranty? Can they buy the xBox warranty?

And you call yourself a gamer...
I think the warranty is basically 3 years from date of purchase (or maybe date of manufacture), right? Whoever should be covered one way or another, I think.

So long as whomever has proof of original purchase, it doesn't matter if it was registered or not.
"I must NEVER graduate!" - lordwow, manically
Lol, I understand he works there.
I still wish I was in college and didn't graduate yet. I'd be busy doing stuff instead of just being bored.
I'm just going to hang up Christmas decorations and search for jobs. My Dad took my car (which is under my name) on a short trip today so I'm stranded at home (without asking).
