How is Mass Effect? I almost bought it, but decided on VF5 360 instead. Would you recommend I play it if I think KOTOR was OK and Jade Empire sucked? It looks cool at least.

That's what I was hoping for. PC 4 EVAR!! 360 = Poor man's PC, like its older brother.
 
If you were ok w/KOTOR, then I think you should definitely try ME because it's sort of similar, but much better with the overall presentation, interaction, and immersion--both with the story and the action parts. What was it about KOTOR that you liked or disliked?

Edit: I'm not sure keyboard/mouse would make such a dramatic difference since the FPS parts aren't overly deep and the circular interface works pretty well with the analog sticks.
 
I liked being able to make good and evil decisions, lightsabers, force powers, and the plot was interesting. I didn't like the bugginess, sluggish framerate, and massive amount of cloning with the NPCs. That was the Xbox version; I have the PC one, and what I've played of it, it's better due to better hardware and patches.

Mass Effect for PC would be right up my alley.

First Turn
I attack him, hit but no Aether. He counters, hit but no Luna. Mist runs up, heals Ike to full.
His turn. He attacks. Hit, but no Luna. Ike counters, Aether!
Second Turn
I attack him. Hit, but no Aether. He counters, hit but no Luna. Must runs up and heals Ike to full.
His turn. He attacks. Hit, but no Luna. Ike counters, Aether! I win!!

I can't believe how insanely lucky I just got. My Skill is nowhere near max, so I'm surprised Aether actually went off those two times.

PoR is a good game but is nowhere as hard as some of the other fe games. At the end I had my soren maxed in everything but strength.

I killed the end boss with soren without even being damaged. 4 crits in a row.
 
Is it me or has CAG been going down the dumps recently. Important posters like Apposum & Dargo taking a hiatus. TMK getting banned from what I can tell a "no-good reason". Plus I haven't done really any trading in the last 6-Months. For a while I was on a roll doing 2-3 trades/sales a week. Now if I'm lucky I do one a month. My observation is people have been lossing intrest in the site. I'm not ure what it is but I'm starting to lose intrest myself, but I don't see myself jumping ship anytime soon.

BTW, later Apossum, hopfully we'll still see you on the Fighter Thread every now and then. You definatly contributed alot to the forums.

InuFaye - Thinking about getting Blue Dragon. Hopfully I'll enjoy it more than Eternal Sonata. I'm mainly into fighters, RPGs & Music games.

I'm pretty much the same way. I mean, I don't actually plan on leaving anytime soon, but there seems to be far more uninteresting, fanboyish conversations and annoying people than there used to be.

Rodimus-Blue Dragon is good but to get the most out of it you have to like old school rpgs.

You play Etrian Odyssey or Brave Story?

Meh, I found Blue Dragon utterly boring. Then again I'm not a fan of Sakaguchi, Uematsu, or Toriyama. So I guess that game had no chance with me.
 
Chrono Trigger is in my top 5 games of all time. Interesting isn't it? Almost everyone who worked on that game went on to make games/anime I've hated. It's like Chrono Trigger used up all the talent they had.

Rei I heard something on one of the retronauts that uematsu barely did any of the music for chrono trigger but yet was still credited with it.

That's it? To this day I've tried to beat it once a month since it came out. I've only missed a couple months here and there.

I admit that I'm liking ME a lot more right now. I wish I were playing it now actually instead of goofing off at work. :p
 
I put up with the PS1 port of Chrono Trigger's load times just to see the added cutscenes. Twice through, then back to my SNES cart. Don't forget the wack ass sound effects.

That's nothing compared to how much I used to play MGS and RE2 when they first came out. I was beating those like 2-3 times a day for months after they came out.

I had RE2 memorized so well I knew exactly how many bullets I should have for each weapon at any point in the game.

Unfortunately I don't have that kind of time anymore lol.

Anywho, I'm really, really tempted to play some Mario Galaxy, but I gotta keep workin' on dis home theater shit. Man am I starting to hate cables.
 
I gave up on the NFS series after how bland NFSU2 was. Forza is my racing game now, and if I want an arcadey racer, I have mario kart, CTR and diddy kong. and IMHO, I truly thought Midnight Club III was better than NFSU2.

and I think for the weekend my project will be to get my surround sound speakers set up in my room to fully enjoy the sound quality out of my pc and 360.
