I didnt like that new NFS because it just really felt forced.
I would save your moneyz and get burnout if you want a sense of speed.

Eh, I liked what I played and it was pretty to look at. Next racing game I want though is Sega Rally Revo as soon as I can find it for around $40

I'm a huge Ridge Racer fan.. except for 6, which admittedly kinda sucked. R4 though and RR on the PSP have been damn good... still need to try that copy of RR7 on the PS3 though.

Next racing game for me is definitely Sega Rally Revo tho. I'd have it already if Best Buy carried it, but nooooo (we are talking PC version.)

Damn this thread moves fast!

BLOODS OR CRIPS it is!

Chac: The main reason I wanted the Samsung LCD and the macbook is cuz they're white... :x I sound like a female right now...

lol... Unless they make nice laptops (other than macbooks) in white and Sony makes 26 inch white bravias(not the metallic silver/white one)...

Well, I know for a fact that Falcon Northwest (falcon-nw.com) has a white laptop that looks pretty damn nice. And it'll play games. Trust me, you should be playing some of these games. Anyway, if Falcon-NW white laptop doesn't suit your drama queen lifestyle, I'm sure other boutique places like Voodoo PC would have something that'll work for you. All told, it should cost less or at worst, as much as a Macbook and personally, I think it's a much smarter choice.

As for the TV... I'm sure you checked on Sony's offerings, so I guess that's a bust. Did Sharp have anything, by chance? They're the one other company that I'd put above Samsung for LCD TVs... I like them quite a bit better, actually, but not as much as Sony. Hmm... actually, a quick look at Sharp's site makes it seem like they don't have any white TVs. Reverse Racists!

Naw, it's not like going with the Samsung is a bad thing at all. Go for it. Only thing I really don't think you should do is get a Mac.

Guess 'll try out Blue Dragon. I do like old-school RPGs, but I decided to give Eternal Sonata the first shot at my 360 RPG fix. ANyone know where I can get one cheap? Anyone selling one?

Samsung makes some good tvs. I play my 360 on samsung 32' 16:9 hd tv that I got a best buy for around $400.

edit: also, I feel like playing some games with CAGer's tonight. so if anyone wants to play some arcade games (I have uno, robotron, aegis wing and TMNT) or play VF5 or almost anything else, shoot me a pm.

I picked up Growlanser:Heritage of war from them for 18 dollars. I hope it turns out pretty good. I also hope it comes with all those extras.
gamefly just shipped me naruto:rise of a ninja.
I hope its good, as I am a fan of the show.
Well when you get it you can download the Japanese voices for free. I'm sorry but since I watched the show orginally in Japanese the English voices just don't match in my brian.

I was actually going to skip the game all together because of the fact that it only had english va. Im very glad they put in the Japanese voice acting.

Thanks for the heads up on the laptop options... I don't mind going with Samsung after all Sony and Samsung use the same processing factory for the LCDs, I guess thats a good thing lol...

If worse comes to worse on the laptop ordeal I'll have to get the mac... :x I prefer not to game on a laptop as it'll be strictly for business/work. I'll need to put together another gaming PC, my other two are outdated :/ ...

I'll vouch for both of these games, while I didn't have the time to finish them, the parts that I did play through were very enjoyable...

The PC games market is finally on the upswing so yeah, it's definitely worth having a gaming PC on hand, even if it's not the laptop. 2008 is gonna be a good year.

I'm leaving to. To much stuff to do up here at school, and I spend way to much time on CAG etc...

Just kidding, I have nothing better to do up here in Hicksville ;)

Don't have anything to play right now because I'm giving up on Mario 64 (Course 15 is to frustrating). I'm just gonna finish the game and be happy with my 93 stars :(

Just kidding, I ain't no bitch!

is this april fools or what?

I got Uncharted in the mail today - great game. Really pretty too, although my roommate said it looked like a Wii game when he saw me playing it. He also said Mass Effect doesn't look any better than KOTOR (I'm playing these games in 720p on a 32" HDTV). I thought that was kind of weird.

Speaking of Mass Effect, my 360 keeps giving me DRE's while I'm playing. This might be the beginning of the end for my second 360. :(

Picked up my cheap MLB Power Pros today, so I'll probably retry the Success Mode in there (totally blew it when I rented it).

I'll be taking the weekend (at least) off from CAG, so see ya Monday! (someone remember to title the next GGT thread in memorandum of our fallen comrades who are lurking, but still generally gaming!)
I too will sport my Christmas avatar!

And I think I found my laptop (It's a Vaio! Long live TMK!)
I freakin' love that avatar.

As for Vaios... I dunno. I don't remember them as being particularly reliable or nice computers... they're loaded with preloaded software too, which is annoying.

Well took the plunge, and got the whole Rock Band set. Today was employee appreciation day, so I got an extra discount. Cost me less than $100. Now to try out the drums...
Wow, this thread is almost over and it was only started 2 days ago.
Yeah, it's gone crazy fast. Wow. Dunno how fast it'll go if people are really dropping outta here like they seem to be... :(
so rei you might take over singing duties.
I don't know if the world can handle my singing debut...

We need to play tomorrow. No work all day!
Opened up my black friday Wii. Made a Mii. Turned it back off. That may be the last we hear about my Wii for a while.
You should try playing a game sometime ;)

Maybe one of you smart people can help me with my laptop problem:

I'm trying to share the wireless connection (to get on live with my 360) and when I go to the properties of the connection and check the box to share the connection it says there was a problem in attempting to share the connection.

Very lame. I'm on Vista btw.

Problem is that I am at my gf dorm all this weekend and dont have it with me.

This week for sure though.

lol I had to interrupt my ME session just to post that I completely forgot to allocate talent points to my characters. doh. level 10 and I had 25 unused points being wasted. Oh well, I think I'm back on track now...and now back to the game.
You should try playing a game sometime ;)
I've heard that Ninjabread Man and Chicken Shoot are both enveloping experience, tight controls, and deep storylines. :p

So what do you guys sit on while playing console games? Sofa? Recliner? Special gaming chair with built-in speakers & rumble? I only ask because I use an old beanbag I got a few years ago at a goodwill and its looking kinda ratty. It has a couple holes that are taped up, and the color is fading. My GF hates the thing and has already tried to get rid of it once.

Anyway, the thing is comfortable as hell though. She wants to find a better-looking replacement for it this weekend when we go x-mas shopping, so I told her we would "look around."

Any suggestions? I really don't wanna spend more than $50, but I'd like to get by as cheap as I can.

Yeah posted this in the pickup thread, but this was my November:

100_2071.jpg

Note: 2 360 games, no 360 system. 1 Wii, no Wii games.
By my count, almost $2000? Maybe I should start buying things for other people now...

I sit on my computer chair when I'm in my room playing 360 or on the couch when I have it down in the living room. I am awaiting a better chair though (HINT HINT SANTA CLAUS).
Why am I excluded from the GGT Rock Band ensemble?

Jk Jk, I know the reason. My damn 360 is RROD'd :(
When you get your 360 back, you're more than welcome to join!

I sit on a cushiony ass leather couch. Usually in the floor when I'm playing fighters, because my stick won't reach.. and I don't have a good table to put it on anyway.

Wow, I can't sing for shit. I had to put it on easy for the vocals in Rock Band. I couldn't even handle medium. My voice has like a 3 note range tops...

I got Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn from TRU (exchanged Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for it from the TRU B2G1F sale). I like. I also got a Zapper from Circuit City ($25 unfortunately). I don't like that so much, but I played the first two levels of Link's Crossbow Training, and it seems very fun. Too bad for the lack of online scoreboards.

After today's gets, I've realized that I've been really satisfied with the Wii's offerings this year: Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3, Zack and Wiki, MLB Power Pros, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Trauma Center: New Blood, Link's Crossbow Training, and GHOST FRIGGIN' SQUAD are all games that I've enjoyed a good deal. They all certainly make the lack of Brawl in 2007 a lot easier to bear.
