Yes. It's all my fault. I hould sit at home and read my bible before killing women and children. I like how Ohio has become an effigy for everyone else, and I don't understand how people can project their hate onto a state that everyone with three brain cells knew was going to go conservative. IT was inevitable. If anyone is upset......blame Florida. The state everyone thought was going to go Kerry(I kid). Regardless of my political beliefs I will not praise/blame Ohio for their vote. It just boggles my mind how some people reacted to this election.

150 thou votes is not a slam dunk. It's a 2.5% margin of victory. Noone knew how it was going to end up.

I think it's ridiculous, too. The entire document reeks of extreme partisanship (not to mention atrocious sophomeric writing). Since Ohio was one of the "major" swing states, it's easy for some on the left to place blame onto that state; if only they hadn't fucked up, their side would have won. Insane.

So true. It's not Ohio's fault.

No point in posting that tripe really. I guess they hate all the other "red states" too. People get so personal over someone's vote, that's what's dividing the country. Some people have different opinions than you do, shock of the century, and get over it. I did.

Yeah, its pretty stupid to hate Ohio simply because of this election. There's a LOT of other reasons to hate Ohio...

*Has lived in Ohio all his life*

Why does everyone critize Bush for his religion? Kerry attempted to appear as religions as Bush yet nothing is throwen at him. So what if he is guided by his religion? Does that make him any less of a person?

Given the supposed separation of church and state it's not really a trait a lot of people want in their leader.

Kerry attempted to appeal to social conservatives, based on his strong beliefs in moral values. Kerry stated that he would never let his religious views dominate how he makes political decisions. I'll let Bush's quotes speak for themselves:

"I've heard the call. I believe God wants me to run for president." -- George W. Bush, quoted from Aaron Latham, "How George W. Found God," George Magazine, September, 2000

"God speaks through me," -- G.W. Bush
Intelligencer Journal and the Lancaster New Era, July 16, 2004.

"Our nation is chosen by God and commissioned by history to be a model to the world of justice and inclusion and diversity without division. " -- Bush speaking to B'nai B'rith, 28 August 2000

"I believe it is wrong to forcefully expunge any mention of religion, or dilute its impact and importance, when discussing world affairs." -- Associated Press questionnaire, October 2000

In reference to the capture of Saddam he said; "Justice was being delivered to a man who defied that gift from the Almighty to the people of Iraq." -- G.W. Bush Washington, D.C., Dec. 15, 2003.

"Prayer has reassured us that the hand of God is guiding the affairs of this nation." -- Address to National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast, 16 May 2002

"God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did..." -- As told to Israeli PM Mahmoud Abbas, 6/25/2003

"Our new faith-based laws have removed government as a roadblock to people of faith who hear the call." quoted from Aaron Latham, "How George W. Found God," George Magazine, September 2000.

"George W. Bush told a Houston, Texas, Baptist church that he believed that he had been chosen by God to be a good steward of the nation." -- reported by ChritianityToday.com, 12/14/2000

"THIS CRUSADE, this war on terrorism is going to take a while." -- G.W.Bush, 9/16/2001, igniting an outcry among billions of peaceful Muslims around the world.

I am originally from Ohio and I dont feel any bad feelings towards that state. Yes I am sad that Bush won but I pretty much excepted it.

Ohio is still the heart of the nation. It has an erratic heartbeat but its still beating

Well as someone who spent 22 years of his life in ohio...I have many opinions on the issue...I'm proud to say the county where I was born and raised voted correctly....that is voting on issues not on the bible and nascar. Also glad to see the county/city where I went to school is still open and not gone to the conservative right. However those cities are 2 hours apart.....everywhere in between was red...ya know why..lots of trailer homes and poverty...but wait...does bush love the impoveshed and poor of the earth....no..but he's a religous nut job and that's enough for these dumb fucks to vote for him...also, ohio is a little backwards on the whole technology jobs are the future idea. So most of the young who have graduated highschool and college in the state have moved to other more opertunistic areas, like myself. So what's left in ohio...a lof red(neck) counties that are dirt farmers..and trailer trash...that is the truth of ohio..if you look at the map breakdown the major cities were blue, except cincinatti, who is notoriously conservative and is a little ban happy on art, music and everyone's favorite...porn!

I'm waiting for the newest quote..."God told me to strict the infidal blue states who questioned my power and godliness.."

Actually, the Bush camp was really counting on the "West Virginia" vote to leech into Ohio, and it sure saved their butts.

Remember kids ----> never, never, never go white water rafting in West Virginia.
