my mom got one maybe 3 years ago or so, after our Kirby exploded. i thought it was so awesome that when lionhart and i got the house, i bought us one. it's awesome with the pet hair. my favorite is to use the Arm&Hammer pet specific deodorizing carpet powder before i vacuum. works like magic. makes the whole room smell fresh and clean with just a little bit of a floral smell. and the dyson sucks that shit outta the carpet like whoa.

We had an old Oreck and were just getting sick of it. As a test, I vacuumed with the oreck yesterday just in the family room, thoroughly, then did only that same area with the dyson. Picked all kinds of shit up. Sort of disgusting, really, to think that so much crap was never picked up.
 
Well, I filled out applications for Lowe's, Home Depot, and Costco so far. Any other suggestions?

i've got this thing with a temp agency on Tuesday to interview for some temp jobs (mostly secretary positions). Tomorrow is a job fair at a resort a few towns away (it was supposedly yesterday, but when i got there i was told it was a misprint). i've applied to BB, Lowes, Home Depot, all major pharmacies, etc. I did them all online and havent heard anything back. it's been a couple of days.

On two other notes:

1) I saw a Cadillac El Dorado, complete with Longhorn horns on the hood, on my lunch break. Shit is bananas. Only in Texas.

2) Where is Roufuss. I need to know if picking up 3 used but complete Gameboy Players is worth the trouble to sell them.

Depends how much you're paying for them. If you're buying them from EB/GS at their used price - 10%, not worth it. If you're getting it cheaper than that, then yeah.

Took fucking hours of scouring forums and tweaking, but I FINALLY have System Shock 2 running with all grahpic and sound mods, with no CD needed, and without crashing, on x64 XP.

there are 3 models. the old ones (DC-07), the kinda new ones(DC-14), and the new "uniball" ones (DC-15) that roll on a single ball in the back to give a smaller turning radius. the old ones are a fucking PITA to use the wand function. the dc-14's are cool, that's what we have. they fixed the issue with the wand so that it's much easier to use. the uniball ones turn more easily and have the fixed wand. Aside from that, you can check the dyson website for the different packages. many of them are as simple as which accessories they have (i.e. flexi crevice tool, car upholstry attachment, mini turbo brush attachment, stain remover, pet odor powder, extra HEPA filter). there's supposedly a new dyson out called DC17 or something like that. from what i can tell, it's just the pethair model that's beefed up with extra suck.

Like Warner said, depends on what you're paying. The market kind of bottomed out on these things... could probably get $45 - $50 per player. Still a lot, but nowhere near the almost $100 these were getting before.

I'm kind of upset the new Oblivion expansion pack is going to be download only for the 360... $10 is really my limit when it comes to microtransactions, and even then, I'm getting a full game. If I ever sold Oblivion I'd be stuck with a $30 expansion forever on my hard drive - I don't really like the idea of that.

It dosen't run as well on my PC, but at least if I ever sold Oblivion I could also sell the expansion.

So I guess I'll be dumping my Oblivion for the 360, because I really want to play the expansion but a $30 digital download isn't for me. I already got burned through Steam on expensive digital downloads, not gonna let it happen again.

it's been announced that they will release a 360 version with the new expansion and all the older downloads. There really isn't no date for when though.

This is the one we got.
it's only available at BestBuy. That worked out good for us because BestBuy was doing their semi-annual Appliance sale, and they're sold in the appliance department. So, in addition to the sale, the $50 in RW coups, plus RW points, I paid like $350 for it. I would've picked a different model, but when comparing the price vs. features, the deal we got won hands down. i was a CAV (cheap ass vacuumer).

I'd love to buy one packaged version of Oblivion for the 360 with the original game + Shivering Isles, or at least a packaged version of Shivering Isles.

Download only for Xbox 360 content has made me make sure I document everything I've bought from XBL, in case my 360 ever goes boom.

I'm not sure about a link, but I know I've read a quote of one of the Bethesda guys saying it. I want to say it was in a paragraph where it also mentioned that there was additional content coming after Shivering Isles.

It might have been in the latest OXM, but I'm not sure.
