I truly do think Game Rush is one of the best things ever for us CAGers...

CAGiversary!
Yes, I know what you're thinking, ANOTHER post about Game Rush, and well, that's just what this is...

Over the past three days, I have picked up these games (still in the original case, and has all instructions as well):

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Wario Ware, Inc: Mega Party Games
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Mario Party 5
Alias

I got all of those mentioned titles for an overall total (which includes prices spent on other games, so I was enable to do the "trade in any 2 preowned games and get any preowned game for $9.99") of about 35 dollars... give or take 5 bucks or so.

Since I'm still new here, and I haven't started my own topic yet, I believe this is something worth bragging over! :D

Oh, and just in case you're wondering, here are all the games (and the price spent on them, plus the Game Rush trade-in value) I traded-in to get those 5 games:

WWF Attitude (PSX): Price: $0.99 - Trade-in value: $1.50
Jupiter Strike (PSX): Price: $2.50 - Trade-in value: $1.50

Monster Rancher 2 (PSX): Price: $3.00 - Trade-in value: $1.50
Transformers: Beast Wars (PSX): Price: $2.00 - Trade-in value: $1.00

NBA2K2 (GC): Price: $5.00 - Trade-in value: $1.00
Legends of Wrestling (XB): Price: $??? (it was a joke gift given to me) - Trade-in value: $1.00

Quantum Redshift (XB): Price: $6.00 - Trade-in value: $5.00
Spider-Man (XB): Price: $9.99 - Trade-in value: $7.00

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (PS2): Price: $7.00 - Trade-in value: $8.00
Extreme Pinball (PSX): Price: $1.00 - Trade-in value: $1.50

In a few weeks I'm going to go to some other Game Rushes near me, and I'm HOPING to find these titles:

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Mario vs. Donkey Kong (perhaps it'll be used in 2 weeks)
Custom Robo (same deal as M VS. DK)
Metroid Zero Mission (come on, it's been out since mid-February!)
Hitman Contracts

I've seen Hitman and SC in some stores, but a few of the discs looked a little banged up, and even if there's a guarantee, I just decided to go with some other titles I wanted: Somehow I doubt they'll ever be out of SC's...

I love being a cheap ass gamer.

Damn...Blockbuster really needs to hurry up and expand with those Gamerush stores. Those were some sweet deals ya got, but luckily I'm high off $5 Best Buy games at the moment to get jealous.

Thanks, but I think you're lucky to have Best Buy stores that actually have the good 5 dollar games in stock... :(

I swear, the only game I saw in stock was Clock Tower 3... but, please, let's not turn this discussion into another post about the infamous BB deal. :p

I had no luck with the two B&M's I checked. But earlier in the day, I did manage to get DMC 2 and Freedom Fighters (GC) from the website.

I see many of my fellow CAGs have had similar results.

For some reason i knew it was you that made this topic...

Yeah thanks to Gamerush I'm saving a bunch of credit for all of those awesome looking future xbox and gamecube games that I don't have preordered already.

Basically i started with random ps1 game i had laying around, picked out something like Mario Kart at 9.99, and then traded it back in for $25. From there on, everything was just the cost of a couple of ps1 games (or a few games i had that i didnt want)

What I don't understand is how GR can afford to do this? Even if they are trying to clear out inventory, they are getting worse, less profitable inventory coming in. This is a great deal for those of you who have GRs in your area (unfortunately, I do not), but seems like a dumbass move for the retailer.

They can't afford to do it, and are quickly realizing it. which is why all but one GR near me has stopped immediately with the deal. And I'm the ONLY one that's taken advantage of it at the one.

Most of the GR around the US are stopping.

I have a thread out to help people without GR's in their area take advantage of the deal. PM me if you want.
