I Was Scammed!
I'm getting mad. Here is the email she just sent me when I let her know I've been in contact with someone else she scammed.
I would be SO pissed off right now if I got an e-mail like that. I think I would use a refrigerator. Seriously, sounds like it's time for a road trip.

Wow, that sucks. To the guy who said that he doesn't buy stuff online because of things like this, it isn't all like this.

man that sucks

its a shame that people sink to a low like this...makes all others look bad

I read the latest comment by the lady (the one in pink) and I think she actually is scared - scared you'll file fraud on her account and maybe on her personally

Is this a crime? cannot it be punishable by a court of law? if so I say you press charges I viewed her account she only signed up last month and I think it's a guy.

After a quick Google search, it seems she lives in Southern FL (see if there are any specific state laws on this type of fraud), and was also NARU'd on eBay, though I don't see any neg. feedback.

Seems she sells things on other forums and auction sites as at least a side job. No idea if she's scammed anyone else, though.

May I suggest submitting this bitch's e-mail to many many many spam sites? I'm sure she'd like to recieve a thousand e-mails from one Ndugu Schmidt asking her to send a couple of thousand dollars in order to free up millions from a secret government stockpile in Africa.

You shouldn't get mad. Ever hear the saying "if it sounds too good to be true..." As much as you want to bith and moan about this, you should have been able to see it coming before you bought anything. Not her fault you're an idiot. Good luck getting your money back, but hopefully you'll learn a lesson this time since you wanted to boast that this is the second time you've been scammed.

I can be mad all I want, she stole my money. Before you call me the idiot I suggest you re-read my posts because I never claimed that I was scammed twice. She has scammed another person which makes it twice FOR HER, and when I posted on the site she was trading at that she was leading me on I got some pm's from two other people who never got their stuff from her and they wanted to know what they should do. If I would've known that I wouldn't have traded with her. People need to speak up, that's why I am. Actually this is the first time I've ever been scammed and I've been trading online for 7 years. I'm not bitching (that's how it's spelled btw) and moaning about it, I'm trying to find out what I need to do and thank you to those who have actually contributed.

Tiffanne is doing the right thing by making as big of a deal about this as possible. I hope the scammer doesn't get away with this :bomb:

I just received this email. I hope to see my money

Hello,
Well I really don't know where to start here but I would like to apologize for my daughter.
I was using her screen name earlier today and saw a bunch of emails back and forth from the 2 of you.
The subjects of the e-mails looked very odd to me so I decided to read them and discovered she is apparently "selling" merchandise on some deal web site. My daughter is 15 years old and has no business doing anything of the sort. The merchandise I see that she is selling does not even belong to her.
I have spoken with her and she has confirmed that she did mail out a package but it was returned earlier in the week because the address was written wrong.
In any case I will be canceling her AOL screen name and she will no longer be online.
If you would be kind enough to e-mail me back your name and address I will issue you a full refund in form of a money order.
Once again I do apologize.
Thank you.

Tell her to refund the money through PayPal since that is the way you paid. It takes 2 mouse clicks and sends your money back in an instant. If the email she sent you was legitimate, there is no way she wouldn't want to do it that way considering it is a much easier process than issuing a money order.

I'm also gonna have to throw down $20 on BS email. She realizes she's boned and now is trying to weasel her way out by 'passing the blame.'

I have spoken with her and she has confirmed that she did mail out a package but it was returned earlier in the week because the address was written wrong.

That's your red flag there. Seems like too much of a coincidence.

I asked her to refund me through paypal and here is her response. It is all begining to make sense to me now.

Hello,
I do not have Paypal and the account that my daughter was apparently using was her friend's Mother's.
The other girl who was in on this is also in a lot of trouble.
The money order will be mailed out on Friday the 3rd of August when I get paid from work.
Thanks

You mean the fact that the seller is a lying snake who uses some of the oldest tricks in the book?

1) "Someone I know died, an event which has left me too paralyzed to spend

Maybe try and scare her with your next e-mail. Tell her that you've given ample time to resolve the matter and that you're not buying anymore excuses. If what she says is true why can't she go over to this friend's mother's house and use her paypal account one more time. Then tell her she has 24 hours to refund you or you will call the authorities...

Probably won't work but what do you have left to lose at this point??

Tell her a money order is unacceptable, you've waited long enough for resoultion on the matter, and the friend's mom needs to realize that since her account was used, she will be the one penalized as in Paypal's eyes, it's her transaction.

Then say they have 48 hours to refund your money, via paypal,or you will file charges. (Just paypal charges, but still...) She cna give the money order to the friend's mom instead.

Then FOLLOW THROUGH. You know you're getting scammed, so do what you can ASAP before it's too late.

Forget just paypal charges, go the full nine if she doesn't follow through. There's an admission of guilt, whether direct or indirect. Paired with the rest of the evidence, you've got a good case for fraud.

Wait, wasn't PayPal only able to recover 7 cents when you filed a dispute before? If it really was the friend's mother's account, why would it be empty? I'm sure the friend's mother would have noticed an extra $75 in the account and questioned where it came from. I know if I unexpectedly received $75 from someone I didn't know, I'd be asking everyone who had access to my account how it got there. I'm beginning to think she is just stalling for time as well.

IF there is a "friend's mother's account," she may not use it very often, and not notice any activity.

As for the lack of funds, I have had a Paypal account for years, and NEVER leave funds in it. If I need to pay for an item, I fund it. If I sell something, I withdraw it. I can't afford to do it any other way.

OP . . . I really hope this turns out well for you.

The writing styles sound similar, don't you think? The "father" and the "daughter" both use almost no commas and there's little style. I'm no expert, and there's no conclusive using of the same sentence structure (because most of it is similar without a lot of style), yet I do think they are probably the same person.

Call their local police and then file a claim with the www.ic3.gov web site. If the money came out of your bank account through Paypal, file a claim with your bank. They will get your money back, but you will no longer be able to use that Paypal account.

I wonder if the father/mother introduced the 15 year old teen alibi in the story just to try and throw you off with a juvenile irresponsibility?

I noticed that someone posted on her thread that their package arrived and thanked her. That person just registered this month and now has a fsot thread of their own with same stuff (slightly different), same cheap prices. I think it's her. I'm going undercover and hopefully can get her home address and if it's in the same city/state then I am going to file charges.

Yeah, I think at this point you definitely need to report this to the authorities. Really hoping this all works out for you.

File for mail fraud. Make sure you file for PayPal ASAP. When they have concluded their investigation, print that out and include it with the mail fraud.

If you have her address, all email/IM conversations, eBay auction or whatever it was that you bought it from, just file for mail fraud. Inform her of what you're doing so she can sh!t in her pants. Within a month or so, she'll get a letter in the mail (so will you) telling her that if payment or items is not sent, legal actions will be taken.
Can I file mail fraud if I don't have her address or full name? I can't seem to get it.
There's no info in the Paypal payment details?

haha sry was looking at the pictures and could not help laughing.

OP if you have not yet, then yes file the paypal claim. This is all bull crap and everyone here knows it. No point waiting, as the longer you wait the more your chances of recovering your cash. We can see the seller trying to stall you for this purpose. File, File now.

Tell her that you have "connections" and could get her fired from her job, though she definitely looks unemployed.

All that paypal shows is her name (which is fake) and an email address. I had a claim go through already and I recovered 7 cents for those of you who didn't read that earlier in the thread.
