I wish I could buy a Wii

I'm glad i accepted the fact i need a wii 2 months ago and waited in line at CC. I always have terrible amounts of fun with it and RE4 is just amazing with Wii Controls.

I've only seen them in the wild once, and that was the day after Christmas at TRU. I barely got mine in December, after nearly a five hour wait, but you should be able to use the resources available here to get one now without too much trouble.
I saw two Wiis at Wal-Mart a couple of days ago. That was the second time I've evern seen them in store.
I just saw another one at Best Buy. I've seen 5 total in B&M stores since launch.

Walked into Gamestop on a whim the other day after lunch to see if they had any. There was one left from that mornings shipment and I snagged it.

My advice would be to keep an eye out on Walmart.com for the Wii bundles. You'll spend around $500, but you can then simply return the stuff you don't need at the store. This was a pretty good sale I saw for the first time today:

walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3611017

My order went through, but when I took another look at that link the availability changed to out of stock. Looks like I just barely made it. Best of all, shipping for the entire thing was only $5.97!

Another thing you can do is see if Walmart will put you on a waiting list. One store I went to would not, but another store offered this if the Wii could be picked up within two hours of them calling.

I've never seen them "in the wild" other than launch day when I waited ~8 hours for mine. I've seen them online at TRU a few times (probably 3 or 4), but that's about it. I'm still shocked that 8 months later you can't just walk into a store any given day and buy one.

I'm in vacation in Washington atm...earlier this morning, I went to this place called Fred Mayer, some kind of Wal-Mart. I went to the electronics section and I'm not sure if it was a shipment that just came in or just standing there but 3 Wiis were in the glass case.

If it was a shipment, then ok, it's going to be gone once someone sees it, otherwise, I guess Wii scarcity is not possible, since Nintendo is HQ'd here?

I was at my local costco last week and saw a pallet of them as soon as I waled in the door. I thought to myself that the drought must be over. By the time I had finished shopping the entire pile was gone.

 at Fred Meyer being "some kind of Wal-Mart". Fred Meyer is the only place I've seen them since December. I saw a couple in the case at my local store about 2 months ago but they were gone the next day and I haven't seen them since. FM gets small shipments of them (2 or 3 at a time) but is an often-overlooked place so they may sit there for a few more hours than at a place like Target. Note I said hours - not days.

It has nothing to do with you being so close to NOA HQ ;). They are just as scarce here if not more so (at least in neaby OR) than other parts of the country (I'm basing that on how HUGE the lines were in Dec at CC/TRU compared to CAG reports from different areas).

Anyway, I hope you checked out the clearance game section at Freddy's. That is the only reason I go there for gaming stuff - there's some good deals to be had there sometimes.

They are still hard to get in So. CA. If they are on the shelves, it is because they just came in, or people don't know they are there yet.

I have yet to see one in stores here in So Cal. Whenever I'm browsing through EB/GS, at least one person would come in to see if there are any in stock.

Amazing... and this was they system that was going to be so easy to find because it is produced quicker than the PS3...

Months later... PS3's selling so badly that Sony drops the price $100 (if this doesnt work, there will be serious problems for Sony) and the Wii sells out continually everywhere... I wasnt such and idiot getting one on launch
