ICO in stock at Gamestop.com $27.99. Use Buy 2 get 1 free sale or B1G1 half off!

Hopefully the framerate for SOTC will be improved...i dont need shiny graphics, but it really chugged pretty bad due to the PS2's limitations

Nice find but ditto on the waiting; will prolly end up picking up Ico Collection for around the same price range anyway.

I'm glad they are remaking it so more people will play it, but that also means my copy is losing a lot of its value.

The collection is probably going to cost $40... so in a couple of months you'll be able to get the game along with SotC in HD and 3D, with trophy support, brand new, for $12 more.

damn, i just bought this at $35. it was half off, but i still coulda saved a few bucks... still worth it, since i don't own a PS3

I just hope the remake is bug-free. I don't know about the other HD collections, but the Sly Collection has a few bugs and is missing some things like bonus videos.

Ico in particular needs this remake though, just by the fact that it runs at 240p and so can't be displayed on most HDTVs with component cables. My copy of Ico is useless unless I use composite cables with my PS2. (S-video would work, but my TV doesn't have any s-video ports; good ole legacy connections.)

If anybody doesn't have a PS3 and wants this game (or has a PS3 and wants this game) - you should buy it from me - that way you will be guaranteed it is complete with case, insert, manual, and disc in great condition. I will match Gamestop's price and do free shipping to USA. I have a couple copies. If interested PM me! :)

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but you just never know what you're gonna get from Gamestop online, right?

I just finished playing through the entire Sly collection and never ran into a single bug. What bugs are your talking about?

As everyone else says, wait for the HD collection to play ICO. Fantastic game.

i just got the copy i ordered from Gamestop and it's bad news all around. disc only, as expected, but the disk itself is some kind of cruel joke. it's scratched to hell on the side that has the game's name and one scratch is visible from the other side. it goes without saying that it's completely unplayable, so i must advise against buying this from Gamestop.

Wow they want HOW MUCH? Last time I saw ICO it was ~$9 and they want $27.99 now? Good luck with that. Thanks for the effort OP I would snag it if the collection wasn't around the corner and the price wasn't silly.

Arrowhead Mall Gamestop in Glendale, Arizona around idk maybe '06-07ish? It's been a long time. Had I known it would have gone up in value like that I would have snagged it for sure.

i think people are trading in their copies since the new one is coming out in a couple months... i did as well

Hell, in Spring 2006 BJ's used to have plenty of them for $12 something each. And they were factory sealed copies to boot.

I bought Ico for about $10 like new in the early 00s. I'll keep as is for sentimental value, in case I ever break out the ole PS Deux.

Yea I certainly didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up. I haven't seen the game in quite some time. My local gamestops pretty much stopped carrying PS2 games a while ago. Bargain bin crap nowadays so I don't even bother.

The most glaring bug that everyone experiences is when the "sneaking near an enemy" bass riff doesn't go away in Sly 1. Also, the bonus videos are missing.

There are other random audio bugs of sounds not going away, game freezes, characters disappearing...

Thats a good point about the 240p. You made me fire it up over the weekend just to see if it'd work on my HDTV and it did and I must say I actually liked the way it looked. Sorta had this pixel art look to it. I don't remember it looking that pixelated on my 27" CRT back in the day but with component cables and on a 65" DLP it was definitely noticeable but like I said I liked the look of it.
