This shit's killer: I finished my Industrial Organization Economics paper and it's like "holy shit ALL STAR MANIA" good, but I also have a quiz tomorrow in that class. But she drops the lowest grade, and if I don't take it, then my lowest quiz grade is a 9/10... so do I go for the extra point by taking this and doing well, or do I blow it off to play games?

Wait... what games? I ain't got none here. Shit.

Maybe I'll read Berserk instead.

At best buy, I bought a 32 inch samsung HDTV for $430 IIRC after tax. It's a great tv and my 360 looks great running on it with component. that's probably the best I know of.
 
I read a LOT of manga and watch anime when I have time... I'd agree Berserk is GOOD...

I don't really visit the anime/manga threads here tho lol... But I should more... I just realized that I spend way too much time reading/watching that stuff than I should... I should game more...
 
I tend to stay away from anime/manga areas, even though I spend just as much on it as games, because my taste differs so much from most people that I almost always end up insulting someone. For example, I hate Naruto.
 
I enjoyed naruto for what it was, a modern refresh of dragonball z.
Who knows you need to finish Berserk it gets so much better towards the end, and the manga takes it all sorts of awesome new places.

Guts is the quintessential badass.
No one else compares.
 
Naruto is alright... It's not as great as I used to see it... Why don't we all list the anime we watch/manga we read... :) ?
 
Big Berserk fan. Death Note is a favorite, and I'm liking Gunsmith Cats more than I expected to. Eagerly awaiting the return of Slam Dunk.

Edit: Beat Half-Life tonight. I spent about 5 minutes sitting in the last boss's brain trying to kill it, not realizing that it was already dead and was just waiting for me to hop off.

Slam Dunk is coming back!? WTF... Details? I read all the manga and enjoyed it for the most part... except how it ended...

I've been into Gundam a lot lately... Not the Gundam Seed/Wing shit though... I'm liking the new series Gundam 00 and I absolutely love 0083: Stardust Memory...

Classic anime music is the shit too...
 
MarkMan has good taste. Claymore is awesome, and Gundam Wing/SEED does indeed suck.

And while we're still in Otaku mode, I might as well let it all out... Does anyone watch any Asian drama shows? Gamers might like shit like Densha Otoko... worth a watch... (The TV drama not the movie lol)...

So... Anyone else excited about the SF4 stuff tomorrow? Not just SFIV new GTAIV trailer... DAAAAAAAAAMN!

today was spent working (which included price dropping over 300 titles) and tonight is being spent playing some good snes rpgs.

Mass Effect because it's the best game in the entire fucking world. I mean you have a game with Rpg elements in it. How fucking cool is that? That is so original and cool you gots to get it man. On a serious note played some R&C today. Graphics for a platforming game are amazing, and the comedy is top notch like always in any R&C game. I've been thinking of getting rid of the first one for PS2 though. Anyone think thats a good idea? I plan on keeping the rest but I tried to play that one the other day and wow it's aged.

Yeah, I gave up on Naruto until the fillers were over.

Naruto Shippuuden is hot fire though. You should check it out.

It's only up to episode 37.

It takes place two years after
Naruto/Sasuke's fight, where Sasuke has been training with Orichimaru and Naruto has been training with Jiraya.

If you've seen up to that point, I definitely recommend skipping to Shippuuden.
 
Im gonna grab this shippuuden series. That last fight was as far as I got in the other anime.

I just got sick of all the filler.

Well I guess there'll be nothing new for you, but for me who never got past Raijin's first 5 volumes, Viz is starting to release the series in Fall 2008. Hopefully in big fat book format. Which means maybe we'll get past the first game :bouncy:

I've watched like half of Densha Otoko, but would never admit to it. It was funny though.

I forgot I liked Evangelion. Really looking forward to those movies.

Going back to Manga I normally don't read it, only a few I do collect. However I do keep up with Berserk. About the only one I care about anymore, but that story is a mind fuck. My wife was reading it for a while but she stopped around vol. 10. Guess it got too violent for her.

When my comic/manga material is in a dry spell I'll pick up JoJo's. It's kinda kiddy but I like the characters. And I did collect the Suikoden III managa, it was pretty good.

And lastly one of my favorites is Osamu Tezuka's Buddha. An excellent read and I highly recomend it. A semi-fictional telling of Buddha's entire life. Anyone looking for an inspirational read look no further. Along with the "Pheonix" this was Tezuka's life work.

Yeah get rid of it...if it helps you I got $22.50 for a mint complete GH copy not that long ago. I think I paid about $5 for it. Pretty crazy if you ask me.

I'm playing Ninja Gaiden Black on the 360 now. It's funny because it has what the NES games had...no matter how much it kicks your ass you still want to play it. It is getting easier though now that I'm learning the ins and outs. Izuna Drop FTW!!! Great game...I'm looking forward to finishing it and I'll be getting 2 when it hits.

Vol. 10 is where it really starts getting fucked up. I was actually just reading Vol. 19 this morning and yeah, shit's great. Dunno why it took me so long to read this vol...

on the gaming front...

nothing till tomorrow. Really not sure what to do today because I don't have any work to do, I don't wanna study, and I don't got no games or nothin'. Hrmm...

tomorrow however, shall be a day of Unreal Tournament III. Glory.
 
This weekend, I'll be hanging out with a friend and playing Mario Galaxy on his Wii. And probably some UT3, Third Strike, and maybe I'll finally start Folklore. Today, I'm finishing up Escape From Butcher Bay and playing some Lords of Thunder. Game just beats my ass, and I come back for more. And some Project Justice later.
 
I'm probably not going to be playing many games the rest of this week/weekend, or atleast until next tuesday. ugh Finals suck in college. So yeah, I'm going MIA for a few days. see everyone on the other side next week!

I'm sorta being kewl -- I'm not taking the psychology final I have coz the lowest test gets dropped so I have an automatic A without taking that final... and in managerial accounting I need to get a score somewhere in the 50's to get an A.

so I'm gonna be a ghangsta and not study much. Coz that's how we roll.
