I don't have a total price for the thing (part of it I got out of birthday related cashola), but it didn't cost anywhere near as much as you'd probably think. I got a really good deal on the video card, the RAM, the hard drive, and the power supply. The processor was a killer, but that was to be expected.

I was thinking around $1500 myself, but if you don't have a total price thats cool. I'm not a huge PC gamer so what I do have can get me by for awhile. Still it really looks nice man, the PC and all the games you have so congrats there Chac I hope you enjoy it. Also what brand is your monitor? I can't make it out from the pic.

Allegedly a patch is imminent that will let you use GH3 guitars in RB on PS3. Thinking about checking my BB, so I can use this 10% coupon on Rock Band, and not have to wait until my online order arrives. What a cheapass.

Naw, the bitches like it. The pic of it isn't great, but it really is like a vanity mirror rather than some cheap piece of crap, so people are like "whoa" when they see it. And Silent, the monitor is a Dell 2407. Dell makes the best monitors donchaknow.

Anyway, I tried Crysis yesterday and that shit is fun. There's a lotta variety to how you can approach situations, and shooting people is incredibly satisfying. So is turning on super-speed, running up to someone, and puching them into an object.

It looks really good... my computer defaulted to the highest graphical settings and I have the resolution set at 360-levels (720p.) It runs like a 360 game... it ain't 60FPS (and I can't really expect something this pretty to be... dear God), but it's perfectly playable.

I wouldn't have said quality, because they had 6 years to make Sunshine and they fucked it up. It's probably because people would get sick of Mario games if it became a yearly thing. We already have Mario [insert every sport here] coming out far too often, so mebbe they think they'd kill their sales a little if they inundated the market with Mario games.

To any FEAR fans out there, is FEAR files for the 360 a good game or just mediocre? It's $50 which is nice but if it doesn't live up to the first FEAR game, or tie into it in anyway I don't want to waste my money on it. I'll take anyones opinion on this. If it's crappy I'll probably just use the cash for UTIII for the PS3. Granted the rumor about it being slower then the PC version isn't true.

FEAR Extraction Point was great, though it wasn't quite as good as the original. Still well worth owning though. The demo for Perseus Mandate was insanely bad, though, so overall... I dunno. EP is great though, so maybe wait for a price drop.

UTIII is godly.

Alright thanks man, I trust your opinion on this probably more then anyones. I'm thinking I'll snag FEAR Files and add it to my collection when it hits $30 since Perseus Mandate is bad. It's good to know EP is good though, and I can't wait for FEAR 2.

Ech, they've made at least 10 Mario Party games in 9 years. It's been an 11 year span since Mario 64. Isn't there soemthing wrong with this picture? I could deal with a new Mario platformer only every 3 years.

It feels bland compared to other shooters readily available. Even compared to the first FEAR release. The graphics also look really off. I'm not sure if its because I played through FEAR on SDTV and I'm going through Files on an HDTV.

Edit: Halo Legendary Edition arrived today. So did Sega Rally. PSU Nights statue tonight. Hooray!

I played Crysis on my friend's 37" Samsung LCD in 720p, and it looked great. I want one, but I'm holding out for a 1080p TV.

Whooo, that is one nice 'puter Chac. My old self would be like shit I needs to play Crysis NOWz so I needz a new 'puter NOWz and I'd shell out $$$$ and then a month later everything will be $$ cheaper and I go Fuhhhhhkkkk and kick myself for jumping too early.

But the new me will just say "I'm jealous" and go back to playing Mass Effect. :p

Ironically, I played Uncharted and EOJ today. I also played NBA2K8 for PS3, but I realized after 5 minutes that improved AI is overrated. I mean, I'm all for good D in a hoops game, but shit I wanna score sometimes too.

Tonight shall be more Mass Effect. Yes, more please.

I wish I could play CoD4 too, but that damn Mass Effect just keeps calling me...
 
Don't feel like a loser, lots of people have wasted hundreds of hours on Oblivion. I guess that doesn't make you any less of a loser, it just makes them more of one.

Just finished FEAR. I can't wait for Project Origin. I have the Gold version so I'll go through Extraction Point next week.

2008 is going to be another hot year for FPS's. Stalker: Clear Skies, Far Cry 2, Project Origin and Brothers in Arms.

Uncharted is that awesome, my personal GOTY.

Only complaint I had with it was that it felt too short, but wanting more isn't a very good complaint :p

Okay thanks for letting me know. I got seven 360 games I am trading in soon. Man I hate having all those mediocre games in my collection. Really brings it down when your looking at it.
 
been working myself like a horse studying so much. played minimal games and I can't wait until tuesday when finals are over with and I have nothing to worry about except working at a video game store and playing video games.
 
as for those studying... My last class was thursday so this entire weekend I've been chilling out playing Mass Effect non stop. Beat it on Hardcore on friday and beat it on insane on saturday. I just need to do one more thing in the game and I am happy with myself with it till the next good thing comes out.

oh and mrchainsaw, don't feel bad about oblivion... last I checked my save file said 120 hours >_
