well if I'm not mistaken both the best buy hd switch and the wal-mart one are the same pelican brand deal. I mean you've got a htib setup - it's not like it's some awesome setup that've you've been building/upgrading for 20 years or something - go with the cheap. Now when you're plunking down 20k on a pair of speakers and likewise on power amps then you can shell out the big bux for top notch cabling. Also - "thicker" cables don't necessarily mean anything - many manufacturers just make the plastic thicker - gets done plenty with speaker cables to make it appear that you're getting thicker gauge than you really are.
yeah but I am not taling about the HTIB i was talking about the HD going into the TV will it still look the same and stuff cause my HD cables are thick and those would be thin or at least one end of them....
well what I'm saying is - you aren't running high end gear here - so I don't see a thing wrong with going with a 20 dollar component switch box. As I mentioned in your other thread about all this - I've got all cheap cabling and I am happy with my setup. Two xboxs and a wii going through my receiver's (panasonic xr45) component switch - then that goes out to a super cheap manual 4 way vga switch through a component to vga converter. Also hooked up the vga switch is a dreamcast and my htpc. that all goes over a 50 foot run of vga to my projector (infocus x1) None of this is high end gear and I see no need to for me to shell out big bux for high end cabling (even if it was high end I probably wouldn't be shelling out big bux for cabling). In the end, me and the wife are very happy with our setup. I mean why not go get the 20 dollar switch - try it out - if you are not happy with it - just return it to best buy or wal-mart or whatever.
true indeed, i an going to try it out, one more question is there anyway to have optical output for 360? I am going to use it on the PS3, but Im just wondering if 360 has it....
