If Microsoft owns Rare, why doesn't anyone talk about the possibility...
I always enjoy these threads. There's never an inbetween on opinions... one camp thinks the game still plays well, and the other likens it to being kicked in the nuts.

I mean... in my opinion, it's still a perfectly playable game on all levels. Controls are still solid, and the graphics are fine. The problem is that everyone has gotten used to the 'new, new, new'... no 64 game will ever look or play like Halo 3... or 2... or 1. I don't know, I still retain an appreciation for older games, and still play them regularly. Also, there are MUCH worse looking games on both the 64 and the PS1. GoldenEye has aged... and well.

I think graphics wise it hasn't aged well, but the main thing that hasn't aged well is definitely the controls.
We need "A Boy And His Blob" and "Hugo's House of Horrors" on xbla!
they were working on Blob for the DS or GBA but i believed it was cancelled

only an exclusive 3rd party deal with the NFL. Meaning N/S/MS could all licence their own NFL game.

No, they pretty much have a fuckin' deathgrip on the NFL license, across the board. You might be mistaking that deal for 2K's MLB one, where the console manufacturers are free to make their own baseball games (as evidenced by Sony, e.g.). Of course, just because Microsoft now has the critically-acclaimed High Heat franchise, doesn't mean they ever have to do anything with it! (Rolls eyes)

Yes, they would definately have to do something about those controls, and totally revamp them.

As for graphics, I once saw someone play Zelda OoT on an emulator on the PC, and he turned up the graphics and made it look as good as a XBLA game.

OoT looks great. I still pop it into my N64 now and then. Same with Super Mario 64, for that matter (same engine... and even models and sound bits).
