If this was such a good deal, why do I feel ripped off?

So, as a backstory, I had to quit my job a little more then a month ago because it conflicted with school (I still live at home (18 years old) so it isn't a requirement for me to have a job, but I have been looking) and I've now ran out of money. A few days ago, a friend of my brother's had a deal. He had a 30gb video ipod (5g) and wanted Gears of War (he wasn't allowed to get rated M games.) Now, there's conflicting stories to as how this young individual got this iPod, but that's not the point of this story (I don't condone theft, btw.) I agreed to trade, knowing I wouldn't be able to buy GoW back. I hadn't even finished the game yet!

So now I have an iPod, but no GoW, and I'm missing it... and I don't know why!

I'll trade you a perfectly mint Gears of War Collectors Edition AND a set of Gears of War dog tags for the Ipod as long as it is in excellent shape.

Homer: Awww, $20!? I wanted a peanut!
Brain: $20 can buy many peanuts.
Homer: Explain how!
Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
Homer: Woohoo!

One of the best Simpsons quotes I've heard in a while.
