Ohhhhhhh jesus, this thread won't end well.
First off, the "rumored Wiimote-like accessory", so far, hasn't had any proof behind it. The one game that's been connected with it the most - Banjo-Kazooie - is selling for $40 (meaning no pack-in), and has been demoed with the standard controllers.
Second, even if the thing DOES exist, it'll be a while before we see games that use it, IF we see games that use it. If it's not a standard part of the system, developers aren't going to rush to use it when people are going to have to buy a special controller to play their game. Dual control modes are possible - Nintendo does it all the time - but since everyone's already got the standard Xbox controller, what's the point?
Third, the simple fact that the Xbox has a Wii-like controller doesn't mean that it's a replacement for the system. The Xbox doesn't have the Virtual Console titles, Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, or any of the third party games like Zack and Wiki or Endless Ocean, and the Wii doesn't have the 360-only Marketplace titles, Halo, Mass Effect, or games like Bioshock. Aside from a few third part games, there's virtually no overlap in the console's libraries, and I don't think one optional controller will change that.
Bottom line: this thread is stupid, because the Wii and Xbox aren't the same thing, and never will be. Time to lock it and pretend it never happened!
