If you had $50

That has to be a trick question. There is no way I'd spend $50 on just one game (well, panzer dragoon saga, but that is about it)
 
I guess I'm not that great a cheapass then. I bought Harvest Moon: AWL and Pokemon Colleseum... both brand new, over the course of one week.
 
I too have bought some new games on release week, GTA double pack comes to mind, as does Ninja Gaiden, but I traded in a few games for it, so I only paid $27.

I'll board this train as well. Dependng on wether my careless friends buy this I just might buy it fir the xbl play.
 
I've bought plenty of games on their release date for $50, but I try my best to hold off now until the price drops. Once you start getting great games for $20 or less, it's hard to go back to paying $50.

GTA: San Andreas will be an exception to that rule for me. No way I can wait one day longer than I have to for that. :)
 
for me I would get Halo2, Resident Evil 4, Metal Gear Solid 3 or Gran Turismo4 those are the games I wouldnt mind spending 50 bucks on because I know they will be great.
 
i'd get the import Zelda Four Swords for GC.

then pay three japanese "friends" $16.66 each to play with me.... and read me the signs.....

i'm so impatient......

Intelligent Qube, that ridiculously overpriced PS game. But $50 probably wouldn't be enough.

Oh, since this is in the xbox forum are we only supposed to name xbox games? Ehh, if so then I'd buy Riddick when it comes out.

That's funny cause I traded for both those games at EB. Probably got both for 50 bucks, c'mon JS, we're losing you.

Edit: Disgaea if I wasn't such a cheapass, but since I am it will stay at EB mocking me.

It's not as bad as it seems... I bought Crash for the Ps2 for 10 at Target, and preordered Wade Hixton's Counter Punch and RType 3 for the GBA...which both retail at the cheapass price of $20.
 
I think it'd be either Fable, GTA: San Andreas, or Metal Gear Solid 3. Most likely Fable, being that it's the only game from that list that I'll bet won't drop to a greatest hits line within a year.

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to hold off until I can find it for $35 or even lower, though.

I consider it a test of my willpower as a cheap ass to not pay $50 for a game :lol:
 
Well, I'm pondering buying Onimusha Blade Warriors this week - but since it's only $40, I'd still be somewhat of a cheapass. ;)
 
I'd take your spare $10 and put it together with my 50 and get the 3 games I got last night at Fry's: Tenchu 3, ICO, and Freedom Fighters. all $20 a pop.

I'd order Breakdown from Ebgames.com, so I'd get both Breakdown and Dead To Rights. DTR is a great game and Breakdown seems cool after playing the demo.
 
Conker Live & Uncut.... There's just something about foul mouthed, beer guzzling, ass kicking rodents that dilutes my cheapness.
 
$50? I'd go get Final Fantasy Anthology and Chrono Cross from Best Buy. With enough left over to maybe get one more $10-$15 game.
 
Probably Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow or Ninja Gaiden. Halo 2, when it comes out. And GTA:STA, but that isn't coming out for the XBox right away, is it?
 
Right now? I wouldn't get anything actually... I'd save it for Halo 2. All of the other games I'd like to play aka.. Gaiden, splinter cell 2, etc etc will eventually come down in price. I suspect Halo 2 will be full price for a really really long time.
