If you had to pick one company to stop making consoles and games, which would it be?

The number of people who are answering "Company X, but only their consoles" makes me laugh -- the poll stipulated they couldn't make consoles OR console games anymore.
Be honest. The PS2, despite its technical shotcomings, has more *variety* than any other system. Can you find Final Fantasy on another console? Or Space Channel 5-2? How about Mr. Mosquito (quirky but fun). Or Ico? Kingdom Hearts? Rez? RC Flyer?
Well the GC has a Final Fantasy game and Space Channel 5-2 and Rez can also be found on the DC (non US releases of course ;) ) But I agree with you on the variety in the PS2's software library.

Nintendo. I can't stand Mario and his utter ridiculousness.

The music in every Mario game has sucked for the past 10 years. Always MIDI, always annoying. Mario Tennis. mario Golf. Mario kart. Now at E3- Mario Soccer, Mario baaseball.

mario Party. Mario toilet paper. You name it.

Link could have a voice, dialog (spoken with voice acting), and fully orchestrated music. Instead they give you the same game we have been playing since the N64 with a new gimmick. Sailing. horseback riding (a throwback to Zelda 64), or turning into an animal.

nintendo speaks of making games instead of advancing power but all they have done in the past 6 years is release countless number of sequels, re-release games from older platforms, and release a million different versions of the gameboy (GB micro, SP, advance, color, pocket, etc).

The Nintendo DS, although cool, has very, very few games. Somebody put this company to sleep or force them to make games for another system.

1) Jak & Daxter, Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak X

2) Halo: CE, Halo 2 ... [Halo 3]

3) Ratchet & Clank, R&C: GC, R&C: UYA, Ratchet whatever-it's-called

4) SOCOM, SOCOM2, SOCOM3

All the same game with some tweaks/gimmicks, with a little cross-genre action thrown in to boot (Jak X). The only difference between what Nintendo does and what MS and Sony are doing is that Nintendo has been doing it longer than either of them combined. Releasing sequels to established franchises is easy money for these companies.

Take your facts and logic elsewhere, we're busy bashing nintendo here!
God of war to prove you wrong.

Yeah! God of War....and it only took Sony 5 years to make a good game for the PS2 ;)
