IGN reviews GTA 4. My God.

I'd probably go somewhere between 8.6 and 9.2 out of 10. Big points for story, immersiveness, setting, audio, cinematic experience, variety of gameplay, most aspects of gameplay definitely including multiplayer and "fun factor". A couple points off for graphics (when seen "big", they're great, like the whole city, but the little flaws like popup) and some control issues. It feels like sometimes you're fighting the game regarding the controls, and that's not a good thing. Still, this is one of a few games I've paid full price for (well, minus 19 bucks for the CC GSC and the 10 gift card which the cashier applied to my purchase) and not regretted.
Side note, I think an interesting way to review games would be "what's it worth." Most pro reviewers get their games for free, and I've read more than once "This is a fun game, 9.0, but not worth 60 bucks." Well, that latter part is very important to me, since I do have to buy my own games. And a game could be more attractive to me based on price--I liked Big Brain Academy on the Wii, but it was not worth 50 bucks. So its review score would vary based on a sliding scale of how much it cost.
