I'm far more offended he writes off UMK3. Sorry, but UMK3 kicks Street Fighter II's ass all over the intarwebs as far as XBL goes. This is an irrefutable fact of gaming.
 
UMK3's character design is awesome. It's supposed to be B-movieish. You have a guy with blades on his hat. You have a big black dude with bionic arms. You have a guy wearing a mask because he has a lizard face (no, not Delirious). I guess he prefers the SF2 character designs, 2 guys in robes who have the exact same moves, Mike Tyson, a fat sumo wrestler, and a big green electric monkey.
 
how about give us something original... 2d fighters, doom... give me a break.. there is a reason why companies don't make these any more... MK3 and SFII both suck
 
He was obviously being sarcastic, he was just tired of getting mail asking that question. He's a very sarcastic writer, look at his article on live marketplace. Just hope nobody here takes him seriously.

And yes, UMK3 screws SF2 in the pooper. Whoever programmed the network code for UMK3 should be put in charge of all Live games. (Save for it's constant locking up in the Join screen)
