Picked this up today at Gamestop. It was a display copy and I almost didn't buy it because I NEVER buy display copies (mainly because they say its brand new and then it has scratches everywhere). Anyway the clerk convinced me to take a look at the disc so I did. It was spotless mint! Good deal!
 
Excellent deal! Regardless of the fact that the game sells well, it's a very good shmup in a time where shmups are rarely seen. Hope you enjoy the game.
 
I have heard nothing but great things about this game..but to those that have played it, would an average casual shmup fan get into this game? Or do only the hardcore need apply?

I hardly play "shmup" games and I had a great time playing Ikaruga on the DC. I found it very enjoyable even though it's hard as fuck.

Is that what the sticker price is or have you had someone check it? It could be lower.
 
I get annoyed with games that are basically just "Memory".

I prefer my shooters to be randomized, so that you're challenging your skill, rather than your ability to memorize patterns.
