IKEA Tax free days April 15-17

Yeah it would be $3 if you only bought something that cost around $70 but IKEA sells furniture, which usually means it costs hundreds of dollars therefore no tax could amount to quite a bit of savings. If you spend $1000 (not that uncommon at one of those fancy furniture stores) it would save you $70 if your sales tax was 7%, which would be more than enough for you to buy a damn clue.

From now on don't thread crap deals that don't interest you or that you don't even understand, other people may want to take advantage of this deal.

That's cause you buy cheap ass shit from Ikea.

Thanks for the heads up, I had a table I wanted a while back.

Thanks!

Although it wasn't IKEA, I remember a salesman telling my aunt about a NEXT DAY NO SALES TAX deal as we were browsing this one high-end furniture store. She had just moved into a new house and was looking at dining room sets.

Here's the weird part: Later on my aunt is telling a friend of hers about the store. Here the friend's response from what I remember:

"Oh yeah, they're really nice there. ....Great stuff too. Me and were looking at some furniture there and he gave us a good deal. He wrote something on a piece of paper and slipped it into

Heh heh heh... Crap on my thread, eh? Silly Newbie! :booty:

Dammit...too bad there are no Ikeas in Nevada (although why there isnt one in Vegas, I can't figure out, with all the new homes being built out here). I really need a new office chair and something to hold all my DVDs in.

Hmm...does this apply to online/catalog purchases at Ikea?
this is great deal if you like ikea furniture and need to furnish a home!
Yes it is! That is why I am so sad there is no B & M store in my area. And this is CAG, so if you have a problem with "only saving $3 on a deal like this" you need to go somewhere else...these boards are not for you. If I had bought all of my previous office furniture with this deal (I spent somewhere around $1k) that $70 I saved would have been enough to buy me that new office chair I want (that I really could use right now).

Oh, and had I bought my last car with some kind of free sales tax day sale, I would have saved $2000 off the purchase price. So don't snub off a mere 7%....

And just remember, for those of that saving $3 is a big deal...that $3 you save can buy you a month's supply of top ramen so you eat for a month AND have new furniture.
