Although it wasn't IKEA, I remember a salesman telling my aunt about a NEXT DAY NO SALES TAX deal as we were browsing this one high-end furniture store. She had just moved into a new house and was looking at dining room sets.

Dammit...too bad there are no Ikeas in Nevada (although why there isnt one in Vegas, I can't figure out, with all the new homes being built out here). I really need a new office chair and something to hold all my DVDs in.

And this is CAG, so if you have a problem with "only saving $3 on a deal like this" you need to go somewhere else...these boards are not for you. If I had bought all of my previous office furniture with this deal (I spent somewhere around $1k) that $70 I saved would have been enough to buy me that new office chair I want (that I really could use right now).
Oh, and had I bought my last car with some kind of free sales tax day sale, I would have saved $2000 off the purchase price. So don't snub off a mere 7%....
And just remember, for those of that saving $3 is a big deal...that $3 you save can buy you a month's supply of top ramen so you eat for a month AND have new furniture.
