I called two privately owned local game shops and one has Eternal Blue NEW while another has Silver Star complete in "fine" (as he told me on the phone). The guy that has EB told me that it's $60, but he's not sure because he only guessed until I go in. The Silver Star is for sure, $79.99. Should I get any of these for the prices listed? I know that Ebay is the way to go, but you are never really sure what you are getting because you want really physically look at it from all directions as well as shipping charges bring both games really close to $70-80 anyway.

THoughts? Fast! I'm out the door to take my sis to vball practice then I'm goin' to the shops in about 10-15 minutes.

Holy crap, that's a lot of dough for SSSC. However, I think Eternal Blue retailed for $60 normally (I'm sure another CAG can confirm or deny, and by another CAG I mean Rig).

If you are patient you can get SSSC for cheaper on eBay. I just got a good complete copy of SSSC for $45 shipped. The only thing that was wrong is the box has a few dings, but on the other hand it did have the cloth map (something many used copies appear to lack now). To put it in perspective: I saw a full SSSC set (near mint copy of the game with map, book, discs, box, Ghaleon puppet, and complete WD strategy guide) go for about $70 shipped.

So yes, go for Eternal Blue, but wait on SSSC.

edit: too bad I didn't see this earlier, yes?

SSSC is way to high. was it with box and everything? Eternal Blue retailed for $59 (atleast to my knowledge). I would buy the new one but i wouldn't open it. if you just wanna play the game, stick with finding a used copy. I fondmines after 3 months of searching, cost me $30 but it was brand new, just the seal from the box was taken off.

I got SSSC from EB yesterday for $24.99 - 10% (Edge Card). It had the two game discs and the making of disc, as well as the case, but no soundtrack disc, manual, or cardboard box. I think it might have been the original release (in the cardboard box) rather than the rerelease; the back of the CD case had art on it instead of screenshots, a description, and a UPC. I'd rather have found a complete copy, but for the price, I couldn't resist.

Didn't you get the Ghaleon puppet when you pre-ordered Eternal Blue tho'? I'm sure that was it...

*glances at her Ghaleon puppet and resists urge to punch the computer screen with it*

(While I know I'm far too late, those do seem like high prices to me...)

You have the Ghaleon puppet?!? *eyes DuelLady affectionately* Have I ever mentioned that you're my favorite CAG????

You're right. Odd that I see the puppet being offered with SSSC.

Upon further review, the box the puppet comes in has the SSSC logo and title on it. Still, I usually saw it auctioned on eBay with SSSC, not EB. Ah well.

/has both the Ghaleon puppet and the SSSC pre-order demo disc now
