CAGiversary!
Some regs might remember some drama a while back surround this wedding, but it turns out that my sister (and my new niece) will both be able to come.

Sucks the outlook is for rain when the wedding was gonna be mountaintop, but inside won't be that bad.

We've been together like 6.5 years now, so my hope is that not all that much will change. Only now breaking up will be much more expensive, but I think if it was ever gonna happen it would have happened by now. She is cool as hell and I'm a little nervous but I think thats normal.

Honeymoon is in Bonaire (a Dutch scuba destination). I'm really psyched about that.

Congrats.

Are you the one who made the topic wanting to know it it was ok to serve pizza at a wedding? So many wedding posts, can't remember who posted what.

Just a bit of advice, having gotten married 3 years ago, and having some friends get married recently.

You have been together for 6.5 years, so you probably got the right girl (as sure as you can be). Now, just don't break down crying when she's walking down the isle. This was the moment that it all hit home for me, wow, I'm actually doing this. But, though it's fine for a bride to cry the whole time, the last thing you want is to be there balling while your soon to be wife comforts you.

Luckily, it didnt' happen to me, but it was a close one.

Congrats, and enjoy the day, you'll remember it forever.

Shit I thought you were already married by now...

I'll probably marry my gf of almost 7 years soon. We're not doing any of that weird wedding shit though. So I'm not really nervous about it or anything.

Congrats man.

Yea I know the feeling about thinking how expensive it would have been if you broke up just before the wedding. Luckily I caught the bitch before it was too late.

Congrats! Got engaged about a month ago and we set the date for 9/26/09. My friends already have plans for the bachelor's party which I want no part of (not when I'm getting married) but I think that's the biggest of my concerns. :D
Good luck! Hopefully nobody stands up when they ask if anyone objects to your marriage.
Drats! I've been found!

*flees*

;)

Good luck. May your marriage beat the odds and succeed. :D

You searched "weeding." Try again, dolt.

Webster's dictionary defines wedding as "the fusing of two metals with a hot torch." Well, you know something? I think you guys are two metals -- gold medals.

(*clap* *clap* *clap*)
This.

I dont know which is more funny: this, or liquids reply

Congrats. Since you've been together so long; things shouldn't change too much. That will make it an easier transition. Enjoy your honeymoon.

That actually sounds kind of sweet to me.

Anyway, PRENUP, PRENUP, PRENUP. Divorce brings out the worst in people. Minimize the bad things that can happen. Although it's probably already too late for this advice...

What is that from? It's on the tip of my tongue and it's driving me insane.

Google and my insane love for the show tells me that it's the office.

Hey thanks guys!

FYI, we did actually win that contest (lots of CAGs voted), we got a free engagement photo shoot and some free albums for our family and other stuff too.

The wedding was sick. Without getting into too much boring detail, I'll just say that it did rain, so we could not take the ski lift up (and down) from the ceremony sight which was supposed to be on top of the ski slope Tyrol at the 7Springs mountian resort. We moved it inside and after the ceremony everything was the same.

I had a blast, I didn't drink too much so I remember everything as best as I can. I didn't feel to "dragged around" though I'd guess at least 2 full hours were spent taking pictures in one form or another.

I danced a lot and Amie look great.

As far as crying, I didn't bawl or anythign, but My eyes did tear up as she began walking down the isle, I don't really know how well one can control such things. I love her to death and she looked so beautiful. All the family got along great and we danced the horra. For a jewish-catholic wedding things went very smoothly and we took the best from all traditions.

We got kicked out of the reception room at 11, then most of the wedding (young folks) moved the party to the local resort bar which had a live band. It was really great.

We got a few thou too, and leave for Bonaire at 9am so I'm really on cloud 9 right now.

Wearing a ring is wierd.

She is not a CAG but one of my Groomsmen is: The Ikohn. He also got me my favorite gift: Madden 09 and Tiger 09. Don't worry he got her something too.

Thanks for a great weekend Ikohn! By the way...to all of CAG, this resort has a thing called the alpine slide (think roller-luge) that the Ikohn (when racing me) actually rocketed completely out of and had to seek first aid attention. This was this afternoon after most people left. It was fucking hilarous!
