OP, keep in mind that many 22" monitors use cheap TN panels, in order to keep costs down. The problem with TN panels is that they have poor viewing angles and are unable to fully display all 16.7 million colors. I have a cheap 22" monitor I use with my computer, and if you all you ever want to do is play games by yourself on one, you'll be fine. But for movies or playing games with friends, a cheap 22" monitor could cause some issues.
