I like the quip about the hands free mode. It looks nice but I'm waiting to see how it plays before I get excited.
 
I played it E3, seemed to be pretty fun, even though I was just mashing buttons.

It was my friends' "suprise hit of the show".
 
Ugh. This wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't suspct Tecmo was just going to redouble their efforts in their next DOA game to take their throne back from Konami.

AKI's engine is godly, but Yuke's does a fine job.

Wrestling is on a downturn again, The Rock has gone to do movies, the WWE's rating are down and their resturant is gone from Time Square, so really the only thing going for this game for anyone not a fan of the Yuke's fighting engine would have to be the asses.

There were more people at E3 lined up to take pictures with the wrestling babes than there was to PLAY the game.

not too far-fetched. If people stop liking a sport/genre, they'll stop playing. Not all the time, but if i got tired of watching baseball, it would take something special (slugfest) to make me even want to play a baseball game

True, but although WWE is the biggest wrestling venue it is not the only one.

And just because you hate the WWE doesn't mean you hate all wrestling. I don't watch the WWE anymore and hate it, but I still like wresting and will probably get this game.
 
I personally dislike the WWE as well, but am really interested in seeing what TNA does on Fox Sports. Also I still play the WWE games all the time with my friend and I do not even watch the show. To me its not the source material, but how fun the game is

Tonite I found out about a new video game for sale that combines fun and sad in a whole new way. It's called Sexy Beach 2 and it's some Japanese thing where the object is to turn the virtual girl on with your mouse or whatever. So you mouseover and do a little of this and a little that and she goes ooh ooh and then you score points or whatever. So ummm... yeah that's what I learnt today.

the only prob with that is there's at least 8x more people buying WWE gamesd then there are people watching. SD! HCTP is one of the best selling PS2 "fighting" games of all time.

actually i posted that after reading the jak II thread in which you called me and a couple of others "whiny little bitches" for thinking the game was uneccessarily frustrating. why you felt the urge to say shit like that when we never offended you will never be known by us.

Yeah sure sure its got the Bajoobies and lack of clothing that DOA: EXTREME VOLLEYBALL had. But after sitting and playing it for awhile....it had a good control system. The game demo was still early but add good controls and gameplay to an excellent graphics engine and MUD MODE.

Its gonna sell alot of copies. Now did I proclaim it to be an alltime classic ala TEKKEN 3 or SOUL CALIBUR......no....will it be a hit.....yeah.

Also.....I think its YUKES doing the wrestling engine.

That's really the main reason I am interested in this game - the fact that even though it has skin, the devs are really trying to make a good wresting game.

Can you imagine a nudy game that actually plays good?
