I was about to recc those to Rocko, assuming he sits at monitor length from his TV. I got some $200 Logitechs that have the same form factor for my dad and they sound really great.
 
Zew, how exactly would I hook up those speakers to my TV?

Basically, I want some kind of external speakers since my TV speakers are pretty weak. But I don't want to shell out for surround. Is that what I'd want? Price seems right.

Edit: Farthest away I am from my TV is 9-9.5 feet.

I'm not too sure. That's a picture of the back of the unit; I have no idea what a DIN port is.

I bought that Far Cry 2 on amazon for 18. Probably will cancel but idk.

Got my new Razr 2 in today. The buttons fucking suck. When you push them the make a noise like when you touch tape to wood and then take it off real fast, and half the time they either don't respond or cause one of the buttons near it to go off. My texts are a garbled mess.

I'm taking it in tomorrow and telling them I'm tired of fucking with it and I want a blackberry.

Thanksgiving with the step family wasn't horrible. Ate good food, jet skii'd in ten degree water, went lazer tagging, ate a fudd ruckers, not bad.

Two options for your 360: If your TV has audio out, you can use that to play any audio that goes through your tv to your sound system. If not, you'll have to stick the component cable into your 360 at the same time as your HDMI cable and use it just for audio.

Alright. I think I'll just ask my parents or dad to split a 32 inch Sammy like 60/40 for Christmas.

Does anyone know a good starter guitar? I guess my pot head step uncle plays and he played for everyone at Thanksgiving. He was good, and I want to learn. I figure I'll just buy a DVD and practice Neutral Milk Hotel tabs until it clicks.

I don't know how well my date went. We watched twilight :)fridge:). We both made fun of the movie, small talk was made, she seemed to be having fun, but I didn't make any sort of move. Prooooooobably friend zoned myself but it's all good, that guitar I'll learn should rake in the pussy. :lol:

For that particular sound system posted, where do the audio cables go? The sub woofer? I'm slightly concerned that sitting ~10 feet from my TV will mean the speakers will be too quiet, since they'd have to be right next to my TV I'd imagine since I'm assuming the cords aren't too long.

Bestbuy.com lists my TV as having "Audio Outputs: 3". Is that what I'd need?

You'd use the RCA inputs.

That BB description is vague, but it looks like it doesn't audio out, but we don't know if it'll do audio out through HDMI. Some sets don't.

I'm not....I just asked about the T.V. because I was curious, seen a lot of Hans-G deals. I have like 120 bucks in credit at amazon from yf360g and the gift cards from LBP and Gears 2, which I've been saving for the BF deals. The guitar would have either been bought on amazon with credit or by my parents.

Think they'll let my switch my Razr 2 out for something else if I bitch enough? I'm not getting another refurb.
 
It's got the red/white audio ports boxed separate from everything else and labeled "Audio Out", so I'm assuming that's what I need. That would just run all audio going to the TV through whatever speakers I plug in?

I am fairly sure that is the standard plug-in for a microphone.

It might not do HDMI. Some sets do, some don't. You'll have to read your manual to find out for sure.
 
Hm. Manual doesn't really definitively say whether it does or does not. Just says that the AV out port is used for external speakers or home theatre systems.
