Import, knockoff or something else?

A few weeks ago, I found this at a local thrift store:

Now, the question is, what is it really? Nowhere on the disc does it say PS2, but strangely, it's a pressed disc. On the bottom, inner ring it has the digits CSD 2405, which matches what is on the label and on the cover art.

The cover art is another oddity. Looking closely, the print-job sucks, but it is on heavy paper. The paper has an overlay of hologaphic, circular starburst patterns. The Playstation header on the front is glued onto the insert.

I put it in the drive on my computer and it shows many files, including one called "KH2.IMG." Unfortunately, I don't have an import PS2 to really check if it works.

If this is a knockoff, they really put a lot of effort into making it look fake.

Any ideas?

Looks like the same knockoffs I have seen from Thailand. They tend to like the holographic paper for their covers.

I was actually going to say a Malaysian bootleg, but thats still not to far from dv8's theory of Thailand bootleg.

I only paid $2 for it, so it's no big loss. It will most likely go into the ever-growing box of interesting crap I collect. If I ever come across an import-capable PS2, i'll give it a whirl.

Thanks for the input, guys.

Did you try it on your regular PS2?
