If you have a new model PS2, you can do an easy disk swap with a boot disk.

how bout a launch system?
 
launch systems need to either be modded or you have to change the casing to enable a swap disc or slide card method.

there are different mods for each different playstation mobo, make sure you pay attention to what you buy or what you got may not work, or worse, may malfunction your ps2.
