She doesn't need a Kickstarter for that anyway. She could just make a cat hat and sell them on Etsy, Ebay or another joint.
I would imagine Kickstarter is best for projects with high capital costs, like the Veronica Mars movie or a game. Making $100 worth of cat hats is relatively low risk.

Oh yeah, I know about some of them. I just think it would be funny if say indiegogo had been started as a kickstarter project.
I see two problems with that shirt: One, I don't ever want a shirt cupping my balls. Two, if anyone ever grabbed you by the back of the shirt and yanked, you'd be singing soprano.
Thought of one more - skid marks on your shirt. Not a good look.
