Between the Best Buy $4.99 sale, the Circuit City $4.99 sale, and the current Toys 'R' Us sale, which treated you the best. I made out like a bandit at Circuit City, okay for Toys 'R' Us, and came up empty at Best Buy.

CC by far, I was going to school in an area with no best buys when that sale happened and this TRU sale is super weaksauce. There are only like 4 or 5 games that are actually good deals.

The CC deal, no doubt. BB was cleaned out too quickly and TRU games are like 2-4 times as much as the CC games, even though some of them are the same games.

I did best with CC, even though it took me all the way across Phoenix to hit all the CC's I wanted to. :) I did ok at Best Buy, because I was lucky enough to hit my local BB right as the news hit here. TRU has nothing, and they closed the second closest TRU to me and replaced it with a Target. Oh well, I don't mind, though I'd love a $10 Rebel Strike III.

Definently the CC sale. There I got about 60 games and most were qaulity good fun great games. Sure their were a few stinkers but you take that chance for $5. At the BB sale I got 1 game that somebody missed, but mostly from the reports i had heard, the store's employees picked it clean before people got there. there was oly one in town that actually had some stuff but it was very limited. My BBs don't even carry 1 cent guide books any more because of the sale. this TRU thing I don't know since i only got word of it today, but from what I hear, I'm not expecting much at mine. besides they usually don't ever have anything.

Edit: After reading my post, I would like to comment on my 60 games just so nobody feels wrongly of me. I only bought 3 doubles of games while the rest were only one copy of a game.

I agree with the quality in the TRU sales over quantity in the CC Sale. During the CC sale I just got games I would'nt pay more than five dollars for like DMC 2 and Chaos Legion.

By far the CC sale. I could of picked up a few a TRU, but the prices still seemed to high for me. Besides a couple of $10 titles there was little to no interest for me.

Much of the value of the TRu sale is blunted by having already gotten those items from BB and CC. The CC sales offered the best range of items and the most opportunity to cash in so I came out with a major number of games effectively for free.

The advance notice of the CC sale made a big difference, too.

The CC was the best for me, followed by BB and finally Toys R Us. I wonder what major store is going to have another clearance (50% off or $5 dollar games)

Here is what I got from each sale that I kept

Best Buy
-Crimson Sea, Aliens vs. Predator, Rygar, Godzilla DAM, Gladius, Chaos Legion, Dino Crisis 3, Goblin Commander

Circuit City
-Disagea, Mario Party 4, Dead or Alive XBV, Contra SS, Dark Cloud 2, Suikoden III, Viewtful Joe, SWAT

Toys R Us
-LOTR TT, Super Monkey Ball, Xbox Exhibition Vol2, Tron 2.0

A lot of games from the Toys R Us sale I already owned so I passed up on them.

The site picked up a big boost in membership due to the CC sale so a lot of respondents to this poll possibly never knew about the BB blowout.

CC, no doubt. Didn't find any games at Best Buy and only ended up with my girlfriend getting a 6.50 Sphinx from TRU.

CC was definitely the mother load for me.

I did decently at both TRU and BB, but nothing can compare to the glory of CC.

None of the above. At work most of the day, no time to stop by during any of the sales.

Only picked up Gladius at BB.
Came up empty at CC.
Still have not had time to go to TRU. Will try to this weekend.

yeah I got a ton of GBA games at CC, I hit up 2 of them and got like 12 games. I've been lucky, I've had a chance at all three deals and I got some in nice games at all of them. If I had a NGC or ps2 I'm sure I would have even more to be proud of.

personally, i think the TRU deal was the best b/c although they were more expensive, the quality of games that i could actually find were much better than the other 2 sales.

Circuit City, for sure. I got close to 20 games. I got about 6 from Best Buy and only 3 from Toys R Us (could have gotten more at TRU but I only bought what I really wanted since most games weren't $5)

I did better than I deserved in all of them, but I did the best in the CC sale (especially if you include the one from December, but even if you don't), next best in BB, and the worst in TRU, especially considering I paid $10 and $15 for some of the games.

Best Buy, just for the fact that I was broke and unemployed at the time and scored several great games by borrowing $20 and constantly reselling key titles (like NCAA Football and Haunted Mansion).

i wish i had more TRU's in my area...they had a lot to choose from but not much of what i was really looking for. The CC deal i did get some crappy games but they were $5 bucks so it was worth just to play for a few hours and not play again. So I voted CC. the BB deal i got nothing

I couldn't find anything decent for the CC or BB deals. They were more or less cleared out by the time I got there so I had to settle for games I only marginally wanted. At TRU, though, I got Panzer Dragoon Orta, Fatal Frame, Prince of Persia, and Soul Caliber 2. Even though I paid more than $5 for each of them, they were all games I really wanted.

Easily the Circuit City sale, got tons of games since I got there early. Though I did get a few choice titles from Best buy's sale. Got squat from Toys R Us

BB sale was mostly garbage ( at least what I was able to pick up was)
Traded in most of the games I didn't like & made out well.
CC was awsome. Hit it hard on the 4th of July. Top shelf title's & some rare finds.

CC. I only picked up 7 games, but I managed to grab Marvel vs. Capcom 2, MGS2: Substance, Jedi Outcast, Roadkill.. all four of those are pretty great titles.

Definitely the CC sale. I missed out completely on the BB sale and only bought one game from the TRU sale. At CC I picked up at least 5 good quality games for $20 bucks. Can't beat that.

Both I guess...well, CC & TRU (no BB)

ALL XBOX GAMES
CC:
Splashdown
NFL Blitz Pro
Dead To Rights
Star Wars: Clone Wars (still sealed!)

TRU:
Beyond Good & Evil
Metal Gear 2 Substance
SWAT
XIII

I guess I got better quality games at TRU, but payed almost twice as much as CC. Although, I think I will trade my CC games in now at GameRush :)

So far I got Beyond Good & Evil, Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, and Unreal Championship from the TRU sales. Calling later today at the TRU I havent been to yet to see if they have Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and Prince of Persia.

CC 23 games
BB 2 Games
TRU didn't bother

I got lucky by going to a CC that hadn't been raped a couple of days after the sale hit. It was an hour and a half drive one way, but well worth it.

Either I got to it late or my Best Buy sucks . . . I'm pretty sure it is the second option! I bought a couple for trade and I used a few Target clearance items to put together some nice trades. So, I got about 4 of the BB games I wanted.

The TRU sale is not that hot . . . some folks are scoring, but I picked up only a couple of titles but getting the Sims for $10 is not that great when I could get it anytime for $15 at BB with the GCC. I did get PoP Xbox but only by trading a CC game.

The CC sale might go down as the greatest CAG moment for me! I got about 25 games out the deal (sure some aren't that hot but might give good payback in EB trade-in deals yet to come). I traded at least 10 games . . . cool to make contact with other CAGs!

And I did some of that dark, dark demon selling on Ebay . . . don't flame me, I don't care . . . I sold about 10 games total (MvC2, Disgaea, Skies, . . .) bringing in a profit of $200 . . . paying for all of the games I bought this summer! I need to do stuff like this to keep my wife off my back -- if you're married . . . you'll understand

I think the CC sale was so good, because CC sucks so bad that not many people buy full-priced games there . . .

The TRU sale, definitely. My local Circuit City had nothing that I really wanted, so I was very disappointed. I've been very successful with the TRU sale so far.

Considering that with trades and purchases, I made out with over 25 games (took crap games back to CC)... the CC was the clear winner
Hell.. I got all the games I was looking for from THAT deal (wasnt interested in Rez and Disgaea)

TRU was nice in that i picked up 7 DC games, a gameshark lite, and a memory card for about 17 bucks 8)

BB was nice in that I got about 10 or so games from it, although they were not was good as the CC games

Only thing I've scored out of all 3 of these sales is a copy of Metal Arms for $5 from bb.com

I was out of town for 4th of July when the CC deal hit, by the time I got back and checked, my CC was picked clean.

From the BB blowout, I didn't manage to find anything, since I think the ones in my area were picked clean by the employees. Plus, this was before I found CAG.

From the CC blowout, I managed to find 35 games for myself and 5 for a friend of mine. Plus, bought three other games from other CAGers who picked up ones I couldn't find from the CC sale.

From the TRU blowout, I've found 12 games for me and one for a fellow CAGer, so far. Might find a couple more, through other CAGers.

In volume, I'd say CC was better for me, with a few bright spots (Pikmin, DOA:XBV, Crimson Sea), though pretty much everything I found at TRU was a bright spot (Fatal Frame, Otogi, Dynasty Warriors 3 & 4, SSX3, to name some).

At this point, who's next, CompUSA?

Are you guys talking about the 4.99 sale at circuit city probably about a month back? I went maybe on the Monday right after the ad but all they had in the $4.99 bin were summer jampacks and some NCAA football games. Maybe the people were too lazy to change the prices on the games but I didn't feel like asking a sales guy the prices to every game they had.

To the people who scored the deals - anyone of you from San Francisco?
Have you guys checked out games at TRU in S.F.? I was wondering if I should bother going because it would be an hour bus ride for me.

I did the best at the CC sale but most of the subpar games i got from that sale i ended up trading at the Hastings 3 for 1 deal. I did get Skies of arcadia legends at CC

I echo the thoughts of several of the previous posters. Quality = TRU, Quantity = CC

My TRU purchases are more likely to remain in my collection. Most of the CC remnants I found are going to result in trade-ins.

I picked up 3 games at the CC sale and 3 games at the TRU sale.

The CC sale was cheaper but there was more quality games at the TRU sale. So I have to give the nod to TRU

Here's my findings from those sales:

BB:
.Hack/Outbreak x2 (One for a friend and one for a trade)

CC:
Onimusha 2
DDR Konamix

TRU: (So far...may take a second trip back)
King of Fighters 2000/2001

All in all, I scored okay.

The CC sale was cheaper but there was more quality games at the TRU sale. So I have to give the nod to TRU

I agree with that.
