Anyone looking to camp for the Wii either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning? And where might you be thinking? We're on the southside, and are trying to come up with the best place. Has anyone heard yet if Meijer is actually doing a first come, first serve, or a raffle?

ive been thinking about camping too, im also on the southside but im not sure where to camp yet...im thinking Target or Wal-Mart will have the most in stock ?

can anyone fill us in one where it would be best to camp ?

I'm still not sure where to camp i'm thinking either wal-mart or meijer and if that fails target, bestbuy, and gamestop.

On the meijers question I think it's first come first serve i'm not sure though since I heared it from friends i'll have to call meijers later on and see hopefully someone will know there.

To be honest, I think wainting in line for 3 hours or so will be enough, you don't need to camp or pull an all nighter. The launch demand for the Wii around here seems relatively low. I think over the past week at work I've got a total of maybe 8 questions about it, compared to the dozens and dozens of PS3 launch questions. So I'd say camp out if you really want, but simply waiting for a few hours at a 24 hour place like Meijer or Walmart may be more than enough to secure one.

Meijer did raffles for Xbox 360s last year. I'd be pretty shocked if they made it first come, first serve since it would cause a riot. There were 150-200 people there last year for the 360. I'd expect 300-400+ for the PS3 since the buzz is much bigger. First come, first serve really only works when people wait outside before the store opens and you hand out tickets to prevent a stampede when the doors open.

A Circuit City. Now my assumption could be way off, but the craziness will surely be about 1/8 of what'll be for the PS3.

We don't take pre-orders and I don't have an exact number, but they told me earlier this week at least 10-15.

I was at Meijer for the PS3 launch raffle...there were probably 1,000 people there. I didn't even bother putting my name in as the line for that was at least an hour long.
