Ok, I know there's another post about this game, but I just got this today at Yesasia.com for $40.49 after using a coupon. it come with free shipping to US and Canada I believe.

The game is at 45.49$
It is the PS3 Initial D: Extreme Stage game, Asian Version, so this one doesn't have online play, but still a good deal.

It give you $5 off, even if you aren't a new user, I tried it. (there are other coupons in the link for new user too)

This game comes out July 2th. Hope this helps someone.

wow, what a big difference between the Japanese version and Asian version. Can somebody point to me the difference between the two?

To me the Asian version still looks like Japanese... Wait, now i'm confused... the US PS3 can play Japanese PS3 games right? I know it does... but what about Asian version? Wait, that don't make sense... The US PS3 can play Asian PS3 games, so that means Japanese games as well, since Japan is part of Asian.

At this time, it's uncertain whether or not the online feature from the Japanese version will be functional outside of Japan, such as in the US. We'll find out once people here in the US (who have ordered the Japanese ver.) finally get their hands on the game.

EDIT: Member "Fieldkillah" stated that someone on the Initial D world boards has confirmed that online play works outside Japan in the other Initial D Extreme Stage Thread.

Ah, thanks for the answers, that explains why the price difference, lol.

I think on-line is a biggie for this game, after all, you want to show off your skills. It's strange why would one strip the on-line functionality in the Asian version... Why not just put the game at $59.99 (average out) for both versions?

JPN version it is then...along with trying to find a PDF of the english (asian ver) instruction manual.

Thanks, Alteeza! :)

I know the online only come in the Jap version of the game, I just wanted the game, I wasnt planning on playing online anyway, so this worked for me.

If you are a hardcore fan, it just might be good enough the online Jap version.

Also, the guy in the GameFAQS forums, people say he lives in California and that might be a factor, I have no idea how it works, and in reality, nobody does since the game comes out tommorrow, so we can't give you a real concrete answer.

I don't know if this price is limited time, but it doesn't look like it, I knew about it for two weeks, now, it was just now that I decided to buy it, so I posted it here.

If you want the latest info on the online capability, I suggest just browsing the Gamefaqs forums from time to time, thats what Im doing.
