I was trying to be nice about an observation I made at WM but it obviously will not go well from the paranoia here.
 
well i bought mine back in october '06, is there any way i can take it back and exchange it/pay the difference for an elite????

If MS is giving WM full credit for these things (the not asking for managers overide now unlike before) why not just ask nicely and see if they will do an even swap.
