Something interesting happen, after secured my copy of the assassin Creed 3 collector edition for myself yesterday, I decided to get some as gift for friend. I managed to reserved 2 copy at a store semi far away using the online reserve system. When I get there, the associate there "claim" that someone come in 30 minutes ago claimed to me me bought the 2 copy I reserve. I was like... wut? Not sure to be angry or scare.... that why would someone assume my identify to get the game OR gamestop selling reserved copy without the confirm email/ ID/powerup card.

Is there a way to get a hold of the regional manager on this matter? I remember back then there was a check mark in complaint email that ask if you wish to be contracted by the manager. However, it is no longer there when I wrote up the complaint yesterday.

Yeah, employee was just lying out his ass as to why he sold it to someone else.

You can complain to the regional manager if you want(asking what's the point of in-store pick-up?) by trying to get the number from a store in the area. But that manager probably isn't going to give a damn.

Either sold it to someone else or hid it for himself. I'd complain, especially since they said someone claiming to be you came and got it and they didn't check ID.

It is not the first time I use the reserve system and usually they ask me for reservation email for pick up. The lie just got a lot worse, as even if I think the worker is lying, there is no proof. Now it can be an identity theft issue, but then again, why would anyone risk felony JUST to buy my game.... it is not like it is chrono trigger 2 or deux ex remade or ffvii HF lol.

I doubt it's anything like ID theft. If anything, when you put in the reservation, the employee saw the price and was like "Oh shit, I'm keeping one of these for myself!"

Is the game on sale?

Kind of, they got converted to used so they're down to $50-ish, Under $40 with that birthday coupon and PUR. I gave up after calling three GS this morning.

I'd email corporate and make sure you have a copy of your reservation email. They'll probably comp you something or try to get you your copies. You have nothing to lose by doing so. Like was said above, just a greedy employee doing something shady and screwing the customer. Corporate will frown on that and you'll skip over the store manager and district manager that way.

I've had this happen to me when I used in store pick up for an item once. When I got to the store, I was told the employee meant to hit the decline but accidentally hit accept. This fucking store was like an hour away so I was pissed. I ask why they didn't just call me and let me know. They said they didn't have my number but I said I logged in with my account before using in store pick so they had my number/PUR#. The employee said sorry and there's nothing he could do about it.

I knew the guy was lying so I just fired off an email and they tracked one down and had it shipped to my local store.
