Is it possible to put the internet channel on an SD card, or is it gone forever if I take it off of the Wii's flash drive?

If it's like every other channel, you could put it on an SD card, but you wouldn't be able to do anything except copy it back to the system you copied it from.

If you deleted it, you should be able to download it again without any problems.

You can't run it from the SD card, nor can you copy it between systems.

This is what applies to the VC games, so I'm assuming it's the same way here. Maybe it's different, but I highly doubt it.

You can copy it over to back it up and then put it back later.

Just go to the Wii Menu, data management and then channels and drag it over.

Like everything else you can't run it off the SD card, would have to copy it back to the internal memory for it to work.

You could likely just delete it. You're supposed to be able to re-download anything you have already "paid" for. But I'm not positive about the free trial of the internet channel.

Speaking of the internet channel... Is it very good? Would it be worth 500 Wii points to be able to surf and read news articles from bed? I just got a Wii finally and have never used the channel.

No. The browser is slow, clunky and sucks.

Still, maybe worth $5 if you have it in the bedroom and would use it a lot. Even if it worked, I wouldn't have it if I had missed the free download as it's so slow, and I just have no desire to check the net on my home theater vs. just walking to the PC in the den which is always on.

It totally works and is nifty if you just wanna read stuff, and it isn't terribly slow. Flash isn't updated frequently enough to warrant buying it to watch videos specifically, though.

I just got it last night. bought the Points Card from Lynsanity; Anyway, I thought it was pretty awesome. First of all, there are the online browser Wii games. Soon, games will be created by various gamemakers just for Wii's browser games. There are already some out.

It's also good for watching movies. I tried going to TV-Links and hit up a random movie, zoomed in a bit, and it was like watching a movie :p.

Anyway, It's good. For $5, and my 1500 points left over.

edit: I think it's pretty sweet for the movies too. First of all, I already tried watching a movie on a computer with a bunch of friends over. It sucks. Well, now we can watch it on the TV. And not with sheety speaker sound!
