Investing in a computer, need help!

Hey CAg, I'm investing in a new computer from a friend. I'm spending about 300 on it. I'm wondering if its a good deal. Mainly trying too game on it. Thanks!

The comp is in excellent working condition with a fresh install of Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit operating system

Some friend you got. He should pay you for taking it off his hands.

For a little reference, the Geforce 8600 GT is from 2007. That was 5 years ago, it will chug when trying to just play CoD.

mainly trying to game? Im going to assume the latest games at a respectable Frame Rate.

In that case no, the build isnt going to cut it. you're looking at a 800 dollar investment.
 
If you want to go on the super cheap. Try www.freecycle.org. The rigs you posting I find for FREE from them. I usually clean them up, put some games and office software on them and donate them to low income families.

Then once you have some experience and are willing to build put $200 to $500 on the side for an entry level rig (unless you line up rebates and coupons and then you can get a killer rig with some legwork).
