What's up guys? I have a $25 GS gift card, and I am looking to put it towards an iPod. I dont want/need anything super fancy, just one that will work. I am looking at 3 right now online:

iPod color(R) Gen 4 20GB (Scratch & Scuff)  - 34.99

iPod photo(R) Gen 4 30GB (Scratch & Scuff) - 39.99

iPod classic(R) Gen 4 20GB (Scratch & Scuff) - 44.99

In doing some Google-fu it looks like the Classic 20GB would be the oldest of them all, with the Color being the newest. If this is true then would that lead you to believe that the color is in worse shape? And with the photo being the precursor to the color, again, the classic would be in better shape as well?

If I am thinking correctly, the Classic is a black and white screen, but presumably in a little better shape. The Photo is a little newer and 10 more gigs and the second best shape of the 3. The Color is the newest (relatively speaking of course, I realize I am talking about an 8 yr old ipod here) but possibly the worst shape of the 3.

Given the 3 options, which would you choose? Thanks for any input!

Nevermind, after more research I realized the Gen 4 Ipods were still bricks, and would not be very good for use during workouts. Gonna have to sacrifice some capacity for a slimmer design.

yeah, we have a 2gb shuffle but wanted something with a little more capacity, and a screen to be able to chose music in the car if we wanted to use it there. Thinking about an 8 or 16gb Nano.

But I do love the shuffle for when I go running.

If i were you id go for a cheaper mp3 player, that can hold a 32gb Micro SD.. cheaper and you'r better off like that but its up to you.

Look at the creative zen. There cheap ($20 - 50), plus most of them have expansion thru micro sd. But if your dead set on an ipod. Look at the nano line. Anything from the 3rd gen on after have decent screens.
