Ipod touch 32 vs iphone?

Was wondering...does the latest Ipod touch generation have the same access to games and apps as the iphone. going to upgrade my phone but thinking I could get one of the new Androids and get the touch so as to have the best of both worlds. Besides the iphone gets terrible reception in my area. Any thoughts?

They're practically the same thing. One just doesn't have the phone component. I've had no problems playing any iPhone apps/games on my iPod touch...

Yep, lack of phone and 3G options is the only difference in terms of functionality.

Well this sounds good as AT@T has shitty service in my area. Thinking I will get the touch and then the Droid x for my phone.Or Droid 2

The iphone 4 camera is better. The video it takes is better. There are rumors everywhere of other carriers getting the iphone in the next year, but you know what they say about rumors.

The only substantial difference between the iPod touch (current gen) and the iPhone, aside from the phone, is the much weaker camera. Everything else is the same.

I believe the iphone 4 has 512 ram, and the ipod touch has 256. Not sure though.
