They are both second generation

I haven't tried an Archos player but I wanted to say I have an iPod touch 2G and I'm immensely satisfied with it. I use it mostly for music but Remote is great and some of the apps are useful. The browser is also useful in a pinch.

If anyone gets one and wants a cheap silicone case for it, CML.

I just got my ipod touch 8gig from ebay, and after the 30% live search cashback, it came out to $157.XX. If you aren't anti ebay/paypal mafia, then you can't beat that deal.
