It is definitely not a ymmv, because I just called 5 nearby bestbuy stores (I love outside of boston) and they all have it priced at $214.99 and it is on clearance. Too bad every single store was sold out but it is ok, I already have a dell DJ

Got mine fully working. Wow The amont it takes to get going is almost not worth it but then i took it to school today and listened to it in study hall while i was sleeping. Its now worth it.

i got mine for 280 and couldnt be happier with it. Anyone who is getting it should go to iRivers site and download the moodlogic software and the new fileware or whatever its called.

I think it is YMMV cause the store near me had it regular priced at $330. Did you guys ask them to scan it, or you just brought it straight up to the cashier line and bought it?

it actually had tags everywhere where they keep the mp3 players with that price. Had the display case, on the rack, and setting out connected to the counter.
