Is CAG going extremely slow for anyone else?

I've been having lots of "page not found" errors since the day before yesterday, particularly when searching for "new" threads. I thought I saw a post about this but am feeling too lazy to investigate.

I'm getting some very, very slow page loads today.

I'm pretty sure, though, that we can blame it on the Circuit City thread and the fact that CheapyD says the servers need some work again. :)

Same.

Same here.

Damn, I get back from hitting up CC again and the site is moving even worse. Now it's at a crawl with some pages timing out. Some of my posts haven't been going through either.

I don't mind slow, but something's been bothering me. Nearly every morning, I get on here. And nearly every morning, the site basically stops working. I don't think the problem is on my end, but I don't what the problem is. It's like the site shuts down for like 15 minutes and works fine afterward.

Yes, Hiccup, its been running slow for me earlier today as well...

Happened again this morning.

Are the forums loading unusually slow for anyone else? Each time I go to a new page, it takes 10-15 seconds longer than usual. This has been happening since about 2PM today.

CAG is always slow. This place has gotten so bloated and ad ridden that it is ridiculous. I remember having the main forum page load in a couple seconds, not it takes over a minute consistantly.

Are you using dial-up? All the forums load within seconds for me on broadband. There are the occasional times that CAG gets slow, but it's been extremely speedy for me all day.

yeah, I'm on dialup, but it doesn't matter. CAG never used to be like this. Even when this new look came on it was never like this. CAG used to saved in my cache too, but not anymore. Now the site loads, reloads then reloads again which makes things even worse.

If you are on dial up, you really can't complain about speed. What do you expect on a modem?

CAG has been running really slow for the past 3 days or so. Opening cag or threads takes about 4 times longer. When clicking on a thread in firefox and it says what website it is connecting to and transfering data it all ways says transfering data from google analystics. Another thing is if I try to go to google it dosent load for me, could this be part of the problem?

CAG has been pretty much unusable for me since last night, and still is. It doesn't seem like any of the post functions work (go to last post, go to new post, etc), and everything is slower than usual. Sometimes in the past it was the case that "go to last post" won't load, but then you would refresh and it would be okay. Not so in this case, those functions will never seem to correctly execute.

I'm using IE6.

I'm having the same problem. Last night it would let me check the new posts for several hours. Its honestly starting to get really frustrating
