Is either of one these PS3 bundles objectively better than the other?

Hey all, I've recently decided to get a PS3 to play through the massive library of great exclusives I've missed out on, and as such I've been sifting through all types of makes and models for the past week or two, and think that these two bundles present the best value(though I am waiting and hoping for a price drop at E3):

Of these two, can you determine if either is dollar for dollar a better deal? Or are they both roughly the same value with different content?

And also, on the second one, it shows three games on the box, but doesn't mention them in the contents of the bundle, instead saying that I'll get great games like them via PS+. Does anyone know if it doesn't actually come with any games, but the "instant game collection" part just means the free games that pop up on PS+?

I would say that it would come down to if you like (or want to play) the God of War games. If the answer is no, then the White PS3 with 1 year PS+ would be better (assuming you could use the PS+ membership).

Personally, I would go for the White PS3 bundle with 1 year of PS+. You will get a continues flow of free games for an entire year (not saying you will like them all). The God of War games all end up being super cheap and can be purchased down the road if you want.

As for the games on the box, those were part of the "instant game collection" at the time of the bundles production. Those games are being removed on June 11 and replaced with new selections (currently the newly added free PS3 games for June are Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Saints Row: The Third).

I was in a similar situation as you're in now and I went with the Uncharted 3 bundle for $269 at Target. This was about a month ago and the bundle also came with a $50 gift card (which I used on a second controller).

I think the two bundles you've linked to are very good deals, I looked at both of those at the time. The thing that swayed me to the U3 bundle was the fact that all my electronics are black now and the red or white ps3 console would have ended up being kind of an eyesore for me. I can easily see how a red or white console would not be as issue for a lot of people.

If it were me, of the two you've shown I'd likely go with the white one just because PS+ is really a great deal.

 
Also note that if you do decide to get the bundle with ps+ note that you have to keep having a ps+ membership to keep using the free games you got from the ps+ service.
