is gamestop open on labor day?

Wait up, I was looking on another site and looks like it just closes 1 hour earlier. They might be wrong though

EDIT: Seems to be for a gamestop at a mall. It might be different from other stores

Well, I know our mall is normal business hours tomorrow (stupid non-American Westfield honchos). So the GameStop there will be open 10AM-9PM.

This is in Merrillville, IN, BTW.
no they are open dude all gamestops will be open unless u live in new orleans then there closed
That's not even remotely funny.
wasnt trying to be funny i was serious
Then why even mention it?

I'd let it all go if I didn't have relatives currenty down there right now.

Honestly, aside from Christmas Day, which holidays are stores ever truly CLOSED on anymore? It seems like alot of this has changed since I was a kid, when on any major US holiday there was nothing to do but stay in and play games or whatever.

Even Christmas isn't even sacred anymore. Wasn't KMart and GameCrazy open on Christmas last year?

Actually in New Orleans, a lot of the shopkeepers are staying in the stores cause of looters. GameStop, with their awesome security policies, probably equipeed them with glitter guns.

Seriously, after Katrina a ton of GameStops were looted.

The only holidays where stores close are Easter, Thanksgiving, and Xmas. There are some exception such as Kmart and Game Crazy

Yeah, nothing is sacred, anymore. The only times stores close is if they think they can't make any money. Most places still close on Christmas because of this. Lots of non-Christians or lax Christians still celebrate Christmas, so a lot of stores don't see being open then as profitable.

Anyway, I pre-ordered MGS4 on Easter so this at GameStop, so yeah, not much is going to close them up.

Christmas is just another day. Give it five years and everyone will be open on Christmas. All it will take is for one big retailer to try it, succeed and others will follow.

It seems as though you're a bit too sensitive. He wasn't even trying to be funny. It's true.

As I think I pretty clearly stated, nothing is sacred right now. The point was, enough people celebrate Christmas that stores don't see it as profitable to be open. It doesn't matter what day it is. If no one is going to come in, they aren't going to open.
