Is it possible to cancel a money order before it is delivered?

I just mailed a money order in my local mail box and the mailman usually pickup around 2 the next day. Is it possible by any chance to cancel it?

I don't think you can cancel a MO. The whole point is that they are as good as cash and if you could stop payment on them that wouldn't be the case. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

I don't have experience with money orders myself but if you got it through the Post Office, they can prevent it from being delivered and send it back to you.
