Is it trye that Phantasy Star Online for xbox is now free to PLay?

its not really that old, now if you were talking about the dreamcast version that would be understandable
 
Games like that are not hosted by a player's machine but by a server. It takes money to buy and maintain that server, as well as pay for the bandwidth. If they ever become free to play, that means they are either about to shut down anyways, or someone has gotten REALLY generous.

Also, something like this would make the news on gaming sites. No news=fake story.

Yeah, Schtack set up a server for DC folks to go get online with their DCs. Cool guy.

yea i know all these cheaters and hackers fucked up this game a little. its still my favorite game as i play it on dc,xbox,and gc. i just hate how no one wants to ear shit no more and just go around leaching off everyone and begging
